I. Intro-My Dad said men don’t want to date up because they are biologically engineered to be the provider.
II. What is dating up?
The act or practice of a person dating or marrying a spouse of higher status than themselves. This includes attractiveness level, education, financial, career, and spirituality. It could also include dating specific races or ethnicities.
III. Observations
Do you feel most Black men you know date up or down? What about other cultures?
IV. Strategies To Date Up
Figure out what level you are on: attractiveness level, education, financially, career wise, spiritually (what’s your baseline?)

V. Downside of dating Up
Person your dating family may look down on you.
This could breed competition.
This could breed insecurity.
