MonoRants... The Boys

A year has passed and a lot has changed. Hughie runs The Boys as the enforcement arm of the FBSA under Victoria Neuman; and in an effort to promote a more wholesome image, Vought are promoting Starlight to co-captain of The Seven. Butcher visits Ryan and then gets two visitors of his own, while MM adjusts to a new family life. Victoria also gets a visitor who leads Hughie to discover his new job isn't as guts free as indicated. Meanwhile we ask is Hughie the new Patrick Bateman?

One last time before Season Three, MonoRants... The Boys is jumping into the back end of Diabolical. This was definitely the stronger half overall, with one obvious exception... As usual, spoilers and references to other animated shows abound in this rant about upsetting animal deaths, John DiMaggio's Groundhawk, Canon episodes and a very obscure reference to a very special train station. We'll see you all in June!!!

MonoRants... The Boys is back (in town?) to get our teeth into some brand new Boys content with Diabolical. There's a lot to unpack in this animated anthology series, so we've gone full spoiler as always, and are splitting it in two. Part review, part breakdown, all rant; we're talking everything we loved, some things we didn't, and obviously commenting on Ashley's fashion choices.... It's good to be back!!!

It's bonus episode time; because we love talking The Boys and just couldn't help ourselves. Join us for a review of all seven 7on7 segments from Vought News Network. We talk world expansion, new Supes and once again make (probably) wildly inaccurate predictions for what will feature in Season 3. And that's it until Diabolical. We Think.

It's time for another season wrap chat and we're talking Season 2 of The Boys. Join us as we break down some of our favourite (sassy Kimiko) and our not so favourite bits (RIP Raynor), as well as everything in between. We even throw in a few predictions for Season three so you can come back in July to see how wrong we were.

Following the events at Congress the government are terrified, Vought are capitalizing, and The Boys decide on all out war. Annie might have a trick up her sleeve and the Church of the Collective try and push two Supes back into The Seven. Ryan settles in for a day of fatherly love, panic attacks and Nazi propaganda; but Becca will lead The Boys against Homelander and Stormfront to get her son back. Join us for an extended breakdown of the Season 2 finale.

The Boys team up with Victoria Nueman to build the case against Vought, Butcher gets an unexpected visitor, and Hughie tries to convince Lamplighter to rescue Annie. Stormfront and Homelander push more supervillain fearmongering, then top the day off with a little child snatching. We discuss the finer points of super self-immolation.

Annie and the Boys head to Sage Grove where Frenchie's past is waiting to catch up with him. Hughie's near death gives Annie and Butcher some common ground, while Stormfront comes clean to Homelander; but not before they get REAL dirty. One of us has absolutely no time for Frenchie's dead best friend.

Hughie and MM head to suburbia to rescue Butcher from himself, and Black Noir. Meanwhile Stormfront is getting up in everyone's business and we prove ourselves to be bad with actors faces... and names. But none of that matters because TERROR is here!

Butcher plans to rescue Becca, while MM, Hughie and Annie look into 70's Supe Liberty. Homelander sets about removing the weak links in The Seven and we admit we know Nothing about american candy, but a lot about CCTV.
