Being a dad, in itself is some serious WORK. But being a queer/trans dad?? Lmao buckle up babe. From the beginning, me and ziwa curated our own bond outside of my relationship to his mother. We have inside jokes, songs that we bond over, and more. He has definitely taught me alot in only such a short amount of time and I’m beyond grateful for it. We have our moments of budding heads because we’re so much alike that we annoy each other lmao but even when we’re yelling at each other it’s always ended with, “but I still love you”. Recently, we’ve picked up an everyday self care routine together, since he’s starting to become a lil smelly 🤣 It consists of: - brush teeth - wash face - moisturize with lotion - moisturize with vaseline - fix up hair - clean up eyebrows - spray cologne - end with chapstick He really enjoys this routine because he loves the idea of making himself look “cool” and I love to see it. Teaching him about taking care of himself now will most definitely reflect as he gets older. And as a dad, having these moments of teaching him men’s self care gives me such a good feeling 🥰 Just being present in his life as a man and as a father figure means alot to me. Enjoy these moments of me getting him ready for his first day of kindergarten👨👦❤️ #transgenderftm
