Monster: The Ed Gein Story kicks off with “MOTHER!,” a chilly, wild plunge into the story of the Plainfield Ghoul. Charlie Hunnam does his best to embody the infamous serial killer. From his awkward voice to his fascination with Nazi pulp magazines and his mother (played by Laurie Metcalf), this third edition of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s series fits right in with the polarizing nature of the first two seasons.
