Russell Hill and Carol Clay, both in their seventies had not been seen since March 19, 2020. The pair had headed out into the remote region on a secret holiday together. It was just before midnight on July 18, 1969, when the little island of Chappquiddick - near Martha’s Vineyard - became the scene of international intrigue. At the centre was thirty-seven year old Senator Ted Kennedy, the youngest of the Kennedy siblings and twenty-eight-year old Mary Jo Kopeckne. The event would stall Kennedy’s political aspirations.

June 6, 1968, at the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles a jubilant Robert Francis Kennedy spoke of winning the Presidential nomination in California. To a throng of media, members of the Democratic party and supporters, he said “My thanks to all of you and now it’s on to Chicago and let’s win there, thank you very much”.

He gave a peace sign and then brushed his hair back off his face. Moments later a shot rang out.
