This week we read Taming Kane by Tessa Stone. A book based in the  most romantic place on earth... the Upper Peninsula of Michigan state. Where men can be men or lions or wolves or possibly dragons? And they can also find their "perfect" mate after centuries of being cursed by a witch? TBD on the "perfect" part because it seems the perfection is more about the woman with the working-est womb than about anything personality related.   

Join us as we discuss age gaps that go above and beyond, breeding kinks, and the very thin difference between the good guy and the bad guy in this book. All while Ashley tries to convince me that this book is similar to Vampire Diaries.

Imagine you’re abducted by aliens, dropped off on a planet wearing only a nightie and forced to run around a mysterious complex where the walls keep changing and you’re being chased by monstrous creatures. What would be the first thing you’d do? Bone a dragon shifter guy who describes you as a “bedwarmer”? That’s exactly what I was going to say! Jinx! That’s what makes this week’s book so relatable. We read Draco by Hattie Jacks. An alien dragon shifter book with a huge penis and a huge-r terrible personality.

Join us as we discuss the logistics of sex with a dragon, the less then sexy behaviors of a possessive male and the number one way to not behave when you’re a guest in somebody’s home. Oh! And of course, as the title suggests, there’s a sexy scaly sloughing scene. The “sexy” part of that is definitely subjective.

...and speaking of "sucking", this week's book was about vampires! (that joke really lands if you read the episode title first, I promise). 

This week, we read Better Off Red by Rebekah Weatherspoon, a 2011 lesbian vampire romp that exemplifies all the things people fear about liberal arts colleges. And, as someone who graduated college around this time, let me just say, this was a 100% accurate portrayal of college life in the mid aughts  (or whatever we decided to call those years). Join us as we discuss: the positive things about where we are now as a society, the one word that will ruin Ashley's day forever now, and most importantly, what's a little nipple pinching between friends?
