    Renee announces the Renee Montgomery Foundation’s virtual camps coming this summer and fall.

    On Remote Scoreboard, Paul shares international soccer games being broadcast on CBS. Renee and the rest of the 2-Lit Crew discuss the growth and exposure it will bring to US soccer as well. Would you let Little Caesar sponsor your living room?

    Renee and the 2-Lit Crew are split in their decisions, with Snook and Cole contemplating letting Little Caesar’s rent apart of their real estate.

    On Remote 1-on-1, Renee sits down with Meghan Klingenberg. She discusses that she did not start as a soccer fan but grew to love the sport. She talks about her growth on and off the field.

    This week on Remote Roots, Snook does a recap of international women’s month. She talks about women’s rights have progressed in the US from the 1920s to the present. Her overview shows that women have grown, but there is still room for growth.

    This week Penny Guevara the site lead for Beyond Women’s Sports and also an editor for The Next joins Remotely Renee to hand out the roses, and Renee ties it up with Paul. Snook and Cole vow a comeback and say it’s not over yet!

    Renee closes out the show opening up a Top Shot pack, and decides to give two away!

  • Ep 17 - Being Allies IRL

    Welcome to Episode 17 of Remotely Renee. As always thank you for your support and for coming back each week to listen in.

    Episode 17 starts with the STOP ASIAN HATE! Georgia Tech tennis player Victoria Flores joined the show to share a very hurtful and dangerous situation. Renee and 2-Lit Crew show support and talk the powerful message and stop hate in any form.

    Remote Scoreboard this week touches on FCF success and the possibility of FCB, Fan Controlled Basketball.

    Paul talks about the stats and the surprising success, and the 2-Lit Crew agrees that fan-controlled sports could be successful for any sport. Paul also talks about Lebron and the buy into the Redsox. The 2-Lit Crew talks about Lebron’s accomplishments off the court with his philanthropy and other ventures. During the Remote Scoreboard, Paul was given some roses for being a great manager and person.

    They all chime in to let Paul know they truly appreciate him and explain why others appreciate him as well. Finally, Renee and the 2-Lit Crew discuss the disparaging differences between the food and the amenities at the NCAA women’s and men’s basketball tournament this year. They ended their discussion with a call to parity for the women’s tournament.

    Renee with 1-On-1 with Tina Lifford, the renowned actress on Queen Sugar. She shared with Renee that she always knew she wanted to be an actress and how her parents recognized her gift and nurtured it. Tina also discussed her journey to stardom.

    Remote Roots Snook takes a break in women’s month to honor a friend Ivor Sheff that recently passed away. Ivor Sheff is a friend whom Snook has known since the ’70s and helped Snook complete one of her bucket list items. He owned a boutique and sold clothing and beautiful jewelry. Snook reminisced about his kind heart and gave a moving tribute to a great friend.

    Khristina Wiliams joins Renee and the 2-Lit Crew to hand out roses during Remote Roses. Khristina surprised the Crew with clues for two separate sets of roses. The competition is getting close.

    Renee ends the show by opening an NBA Top Shot that she will give away!

    Remote 1-on-1 Renee sits down with Colleen Quigley, a supermodel who is now preparing for the Olympics in track and field. They discuss her beginning in many sports and dancing, and she did not start her career in track until her freshman year in high school while modeling. She shared her decision to go to college at FSU instead of pursuing a modeling career.

    Remote roots this week Snook continues with Women’s month by highlighting her personal friend Pam Morris-Walton “The Gospel Sister.” Snook talked about their friendly beginnings in West Virginia. She walks us through her career and gives a glimpse into her spiritual experience while waiting to receive a new heart. Renee and the 2Lit Crew congratulate her on her success with her new book that documents her journey called 57 Days.

    Happening IRL Chloe Pavlech walked her through her career, starting with Uconn and how she ended up in current business ventures with a marketing company. She shares how she helped build a brand with She Hoops and then made a big move with Together Marketing Company.

    Remote Roses Chloe Pavlech gives all the roses to her ace since Day 1. Her mother, Mrs. Lauren Pavlech. Cole’s answer causes some controversy but puts Cole on the board.

    Hero IRL features Chasity Melvin assistant coach for the Phoenix Mercury talks about life coaching and how it created a way for her to help her players find a balance between work and personal life. She talks about what inspired her to write her book. She also gives great advice to everyone on how to get through the pandemic and depression.

    Remote Scoreboard Paul breaks the news about Overtime Elite, a new league that allows players as young as 16 to play in the league. The cast weighs in on the new opportunity and is split whether it’s on the same level as the G League. The cast touches on Sue Bird and partners starting a media company showing that athletes are succeeding in careers other than sports. Finally, Renee opens her NBA Top Shot moments on the air and announces she is doing a Top Shop giveaway on the next show!

    On Remote 1-On-1 Renee sits down with Vivica Fox. She talked about her beginnings with church activities, sports, and when she caught the acting bug. She tells how she went from the soap opera Young and the Restless to blockbuster hit Independence Day.

    During Remote Roses Ari Chambers joins as a guest to give out roses to another great female during Women’s month! Ari also receives roses from Renee and the 2-Lit Crew for her support of the WNBA and other women’s sports.

    Snook honors a family member on this episode of Remote Roots. Carolyn Elizabeth Bennett Smoot was a West Virginia educator whose many accomplishments gained her many accolades including being featured in Jet and Ebony magazine. She was also the first African American and woman to be appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate to hold the title of a commissioner for the state of West Virginia.

    Renee closed out the show wearing her royal crown and expressing her excitement of the release of coming to 2 America!

    During Happening IRL Renee sits down with Suzanne Abair and they discuss the direction and goals of the Atlanta Dream. They talk about integrating sports and social justice into women’s sports. They are excited about the new roles they have in the growth and success of the organization. Suzanne shares with us her basketball experience and says she going to start working on her basketball skills.

    Snook is the interviewer this week on remote 1-On-1 and she is interviewing Renee! Snook recaps her career asks her questions starting from opting out to her new role of ownership.

    Remote Roots this week Snook picks her Hero IRL and in honor of women’s month chooses Fannie Pearl. She highlights Fannie Pearl making it through the depression and how she survived with the Book of Life.

    Concluding this episode was Remote Roses with a new host! Paul took the reigns and our guest Meghan Peak. She gives some great roses to a legendary female broadcaster.
