SYNOPSIS:

It’s the morning after Maddie and David have slept together, and each has a different perspective on the evening. While David is in a wonderful mood thinking that he’s finally got Maddie in his grasp, she wants to pretend that “last night never happened.” Maddie suggests they make “a pact” that their sleeping together not only did “not happen,” but will not happen again. David refuses her “pact,” and is hurt. Ultimately, they end up making love again . . and again throughout the episode.

Meanwhile, a wealthy heiress, Margaret Kendall, approaches Blue Moon to prove that her boyfriend loves her and is not after her money. Margaret’s father disapproves of the relationship and is willing to do whatever it takes to stop it going any further to protect his assets. She wants to prove her father wrong.

Subsequently, her father is (seemingly) killed in a house fire and both his daughter and the boyfriend confess to the crime, both attempting to save the other from prosecution.

Shawna travelled to Melbourne, Australia to meet Grace for the first time. This is the first time they have recorded together in the same room!

SYNOPSIS:

Maddie arrives home in the morning after a night on the case with David. While Maddie is asleep, Sam pays a visit to David asking him to back off from his relationship with Maddie.

Sam is upset that Maddie is noncommittal with her answer to his proposal. Herbert continues to work on the McClafferty case that started in the previous episode. The case involves uncovering whether their client’s lover is betraying her by falling back in love with his wife. Maddie and David work a stakeout and witness McClafferty’s wife’s suicide. 

Maddie gets home late from the case. Sam is up waiting for her and surprises her with a wedding proposal.

Meanwhile, Maddie explores her feelings between David and Sam. She leaves Sam in the middle of the night and drives to David’s home to find out what he wanted to tell her so urgently the other night when he interrupted her dinner. 

They approach the killer, which begins a Moonlighting-style car chase involving a milk truck and a bowling alley. A touching scene unfolds between Maddie and David as they talk about how much fun they have had that evening. Then Maddie suddenly remembers that Sam is waiting for her at home.
