Banff National Park possibly one of the coolest parks I have ever had the pleasure of hiking in. In this episode I discuss the awe inspiring peaks that make up Banff as well as why a trip in the off season might be just right. I also dive into a couple of the hikes and locations explored as well as the price advantages of staying outside the town of Banff.

I discuss the feelings of vulnerability that come up releasing any creative project and that I have felt as I get ready to release the podcast. In the week of 11/28's Pat Chat I also discuss returning to the US, what people around the world think of US border control and customs, Thanksgiving at a Denny's in Canada, and feeling patriotic.

Grounds For Coffee my favorite coffee house in Vancouver. In this travel review I talk about how Grounds for Coffee's claim of best cinnamon rolls in the world lured me in. I dig into the quality that makes a good cinnamon roll, how GFC lives up to the hype, and how their ambiance kept me coming back.

Work exchanges a different way to engage with travel and to live abroad. In Pat Chats for the week of 11/26/18 I reflect on the last day of my work exchange. I talk about the ways in which doing work exchanges has allowed me to travel for longer and cheaper. I also dive into how the work exchange I did in Vancouver, to me really embodied more of what is needed in our world, connecting more with people and developing symbiotic relationships

Handling the bad days in travel and the struggle to stay in the moment. In the week of 11/14's Pat Chat I talk about how even when you're living your dream and traveling there are bad days. I ramble philosophically (I hope) about the nature of life, good & bad days, and my struggle to not always live in the future but to try to be in the moment. I also talk about how much I love passive work that I can maximum my time with by listening to language learning lessons, podcasts, and audio books.

In this weeks Pat Chat for the week of 11/07 I rant and rave about the American midterm election and what it was like to watch it with a bunch of Germans in Canada. I also dive into why Vancouver is such a great city for runners including one of its crown jewel parks Pacific Spirit Regional Park. In the Pat Chat for the week of 10/24 I talk about my first week in Canada. I dive into my troubles coming over the border, my first few days doing a work exchange again and my reflections on that type of work, and what the future of the new Moore to Explore travel podcast will be.

In this travel review episode I talk about my trip to the town of Deep Cove in North Vancouver. I talk a little bit about my impression of the town both the good and the bad. I also review the VERY popular Quarry Rock hiking trail which is located just outside of Deep Cove. I break down how this hike ranks on the hierarchy of Canadian hiking, specifically in British Columbia and Vancouver. (A travel podcast!)

In this episode I sit down with Annette Wilson Blair who was born, raised, and to this day lives in Vancouver B.C. Annette was my gracious host through the work exchange program workaway. We talk about how she has seen Canada and B.C. change over the years, what she loves about Vancouver, where she recommends tourists visit in her beautiful city, and her view on Canada's southernly neighbor my home country the United States.
