Episode 57 is the story from the guide's perspective of the second year OMM Outfitters has had the privilege of hosting another hunt through Three Rangers Foundation and supported by KUIU and other supporters for a gold star family member. This year the hunter in camp was a current active-duty Army Ranger named Mike Blanchard. This story is incredible and was guided my none other than OMM Guide and purple heart veteran Rob Fickett. Rob shares an in depth day by day recount of the epic hunt- lets just say Rob definitely had the "hot hand" this year and we are so thrilled with the experience Mike was able to have in the woods in northern Maine this year.

The trio go through the annual OMM guide training expectations and why we find it is so important to have a program like this and how essential we feel it is to the success and building of our group. In addition our host announces that the team as established the annual "Guy Randlett Guide Award" that will be given annually to one guide from OMM Outfitters to a person who best encompasses the spirit, faith, humbleness and character of our dear friend and mentor who has left this world to go home and be with Jesus. The team proudly shares that the first ever award winner is team member Matt Duquette who's humble nature, moose hunting skill and personal character embody so much of what our beloved friend was all about. Brian is an orthopedic surgeon and passionate outdoorsman that has created his company to provide top notch field medical kits to folks pursing adventure in the back country.
