Morbid Academy: A Podcast

This week I'm talking about one of the most MORBID people, serial killer Ed Gein. As you listen to the episode, you may be reminded of some famous movie characters. Well, that's because he was the inspiration for the likes of Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Norman Bates from Psycho, and Buffalo Bill of Silence of the Lambs.

This week I talk about a case that has been the base of many movies, TV episodes, and books. Including Truman Capote's 'In Cold Blood' which apparently is the second best selling true crime novel in history....but I'm not sure why this case fascinates people so much...there's nothing mind blowing about it.

Robert the Doll demands all the respect...literally...the proof comes from the thousands of letters that are sent to him by people who didn't respect him. Robert is probably the scariest haunted doll for me, along with PTD (I will not say her name, but you may know who I'm talking about).

You may need a big cheesecake after this one. This week I'm talking about Tyler Hadley, the 17 year old who bludgeouned his parents to death and then had a house party.

I got all my information from "Tyler Hadley's Killer House Party" by Nick Richard in Rollingstone, as well as Episode 226 of Morbid: A True Crime Podcast

Happy Firday the 13th!!!  This week I'm talking about one of the most haunted places in Michigan, my home state, The Eloise Asylum! And it was the perfect weather when I recorded; dark and cloudy and thunderstormy...I hope you can hear the thunder as you listen.

This week on Morbid Academy, I'm telling you all about the creepy tale of La Llorona, or the Weeping Woman. A freaky Latin American tale that's told to children...because parents love to scare their children, right?

IT'S A BONUS EPISODE!!!

Shark week was last week, and I am obsessed with Shark Week...it's amazing. So, in honor of this amazing week, I decided to do a bonus episode of the most feared sea cryptid in the Caribbean...The Lusca. Half shark, half octopus...is it real? Is it just a shark? Or is it just the natural tidal shifts of the Blue Holes? We may never know.
