This is the last week we are looking at the supposed serial killer in Chicago, aka the Chicago Strangler. I tried to record this last week, had editing problems, audio problems, then the entire file just got deleted. Now I recorded this directly after coming home from the dentist so half of my mouth is numb. We also got news that one of our pet mice is dying so we are constantly making sure shes got all her favorite things and pain meds. This is a jumbled episode but I do get some good points in.

It is no secret that women are more likely to be killed by homicide than men. It is also no secret that generally their significant other is the one to kill them due to domestic dispute or violence. The thing most people don't want to look at is the fact that many women are killed by strangers and many of these cases go unsolved. Black women are far more likely to have unsolved murders and non publicized murders. Over the next four weeks, we will be diving into the case of an active serial killer that is unknown still. This week was to raise awareness about the topic we are going to dive into.

Charlotte Pollis was a loving mother of two who fell ill one night and traveled to the ER. She was confirmed to return home as she talked to her mother...but the next day she was nowhere to be found. Her husband and his parents were cleaning the home extensively and had pull in the police department so it seems this case may never be solved. Today I talk about the suspicious evidence and all the evidence that went missing throughout the investigation.

Oliva Hope & Ben Smart had a wonderful start to the new year. Upon taking a water taxi back to the yacht they were supposed to stay on, they found out that all the beds had been taken. Getting back on the water taxi they were offered a place to sleep by an unknown male. When the driver dropped the group of three off nothing seemed out of place, but that was the last time Oliva & Ben were seen.

Katelin Aken was home to see her newborn nephew and seemed excited about life. She had a fiance back in Arizona and she was going to start cosmetology school upon returning. However, she never got on her flight back home...it is actually speculated she never made it more than 10 miles away from the home of her ex-stepfather (he was supposed to drop her at the airport.)

Dorothy Scott was a single mother when she began to have a man call her. In these calls he professed his love for her while also stating he intended to kill her even stating he was going to cut her up into little pieces so she wouldn't be found. Well, one night it seems he made true on his intent and kidnapped her from a hospital parking lot. For four years after her disappearance her mother received calls from this supposed killer, and then her body was found.
