This episode of the More Donut Podcast goes deep into what life was really like growing up in the late 70s and 80s — from the way Halloween used to feel like a major event, to how friendships slowly drift apart as life moves on. We talk about the reality of staying married for 40+ years, working brutal long-hour jobs, and what retirement actually feels like after decades of grinding. The conversation also turns toward backyard BBQ culture: smoking ribs and meats, creating homemade BBQ sauces, and judging BBQ cook-offs. We also talk about the Brookville Community Picnic happening July 24th–26th. The episode takes a serious turn as we discuss legalizing drugs, getting older, and what a heart attack really feels like — including warning signs people often ignore. A mix of nostalgia, hard truths, blue-collar life stories, BBQ talk, and real conversations about getting older.
In this episode, we dive into a series of unsettling stories surrounding scientists who have died or gone missing under unusual circumstances. Are these cases connected, or simply tragic coincidences? We explore the ongoing UAP controversy, the theories that have emerged around it, and why some believe there may be more beneath the surface. At the same time, we take a step back to talk about the human side of these stories—looking at the real pressures, struggles, and mental health challenges that can affect anyone, even those at the top of their field. This conversation blends mystery, speculation, and reality—asking difficult questions while keeping the focus on understanding, not just theories.
Ken and I met up with three of Ken's friends for a birthday trip to Mississippi and what a birthday it was. Friends were made, drinks were drank and the weekend was full of firsts. New Orleans some how becomes a plot point and I end up not being able to handle the nights festivities.
Jessica and I talk about Haley Beck and sexual assault in schools and all around us. This one gets real and some of it was hard for me to learn. Life is never what you had hoped it would be and sometimes we are not the parents we thought we were.
Tammy and Rachel stopped by to talk about bigfoot and doppelgangers. We are drinking some crazy energy drinks and trying to figure out why planes keep disappearing over that triangle thing. This was a great conversation. hope you like it.
Joselyn stopped by for wine and painting. This is a different type of episode. We had a great conversation about Easter, religion, and creativity, all while drinking wine and painting our version of separation. this is a long one but I think you will enjoy it.
Some great beers and good conversation. Sheven joined me on the podcast and it was a good one. Mushroom hunting and deer hunting, remembering the old neighborhood, and working at the same place for 30 plus years.
Aerial is here and we are drinking sours. Plasma is life and we are trying to figure out who God is.
Ken is back and we are talking about life and drinking some beers. We are picking our march madness bracket before the selections have been made, Steve has no idea how to drive and we will be taking the podcast mobile, eventually.
My daughter Lucky Marbles stopped by to talk about the life of a mother with young children. We talk about the Mafia in Ohio and the dangers of A. I. relationships. Steve finds out making no bake cookies is not as easy as it sounds. If you like the pod please join Lucky Marbles discord
