It happens to EVERYONE, business slows down. For some it's because of the seasonal nature of the business, for others it's a lack of marketing. Real talk though, no business misses out on slow seasons.
The important thing to do is know how to deal with them, and make the most of that lovely gift of time. So maybe you can make the most of your time when you get busy again.

A lot of us want more visibility, we want to connect with our community, and we want to really serve them. Ok so all of you better want that, otherwise this is going to be a really boring podcast. You wanting all of that is why I'm doing something I almost never do... I'm saying that something is less than optional.
That something.. live video.
Now I'm not saying it has to be Facebook Live, or Perisocpe, or Blab, or whatever else. I'm just saying it has to be about you showing up LIVE and providing value.

I've been obsessed with morning routines for a while. You hear a lot about them from just about every media source. You've seen the articles usually something titled "secret ways billion dollar business owners spend their mornings" or something like that.
The thing is though you have to build your own and start trying things, this year that's what I've done. Today I'm talking about the impact my routine has had on my business and how I found it.

That's one reason I LOVE Canva, it's brought basic design work to the every business owner. For those of us who could end up losing HOURS to Photoshop to create a basic Facebook cover image we're saved. Now I will say I don't think Canva is a replacement for graphic designers (in fact that's exactly what I said in the Canva episode of Hit the Mic TV, but it's still a powerful tool to have for quick jobs.
Today I want to talk about Canva for Work, the paid upgraded version of Canva and some of the extra special things you can do using it.

If you're spending time on social media (and I'm not sure why you're here if you're not) then you need to know if it's having an impact on your business. That means occasionally your social media time that is otherwise spent on group engagement and posting (or the occasional BuzzFeed Quiz) needs to be spent looking at what's working and what's not.
In this episode we're breaking down the three pieces you'll need to check in on as you work through your review. So grab a buddy and get to work!

I know you love your business, but you remember when you said you wanted a business because it meant more freedom? Well that might be a distant memory from where you sit now, but it's possible.
I take a pretty good chunk of time off every year. It's important for me to have times to relax (it fuels the hustle). I also build time into my business where I lean back a bit so I can build something new. If I don't make space for that nothing would EVER get created. It's in fact what lets me do things like take December off every year.
Today I share the 3 things you need to know about unplugging and disconnecting from the day to day your business.

Outsourcing your social media is likely on your to do list (or at least part of it), but hands down the most popular hand off is Facebook Ads. There is so much to learn, it's always changing, and the best way to execute ads can feel overwhelming to someone unfamiliar. When jumping into hire someone to run your Facebook Ads though it's about a few simple steps up front.
There are choices, but if you don't figure these things out first it's going to be a long road.

One of the most common Instagram questions I hear is about scheduling to Instagram. Lots of tools are offering ways, but here is the deal, there is not a way to automatically post content through a third party tool. That however doesn't mean that scheduling is impossible.
That's what we're talking about today. I'm sharing a bit more about what I mean when I say it's flat out not possible, and 2 ways that you can still streamline it and use scheduling when it comes to Instagram (fyi this is a shout out to two of my favorite tools and how they work).
