This episode dives into the magic of the ripple effect. Something I LOVE to talk about! How tiny, intentional actions can spark joy, connection, and momentum in ways we don’t realize. I share a story from Martha’s Vineyard that reminded me how small gestures can shift someone’s day and even ripple into unexpected moments of positivity.
On the dance floor, the ripple effect is just as powerful. I talk about noticing how someone’s energy, encouragement, or risk-taking in class can inspire everyone around them. How giving a compliment, clapping for someone, or simply showing up fully can spark confidence in others and create a chain reaction of positivity.
We also explore how our insecurities can hold us back from these moments, and why leaning into the awkward, the “no,” and the overthinking actually helps us connect more deeply.
This episode is packed with practical takeaways for applying the ripple effect in everyday life and in dance: noticing the small ways you impact others, learning to receive the positive energy that comes back, and intentionally making kindness and connection a habit.
By the end, you’ll see how small actions build big momentum, create memorable moments, and leave a lasting impact on the dance floor and beyond.

There are so many reasons we get shook throughout the day, a text, a look, a shift in energy, and how you move through it determines whether you stay stuck or come back to power.
In this episode, I walk you through simple, grounded ways to process those moments instead of spiraling through them:
We will always have things come up and the more you know yourself, the quicker you can return to your power.
Also, yay.... episode 50!

When have to and need to become get to everything shifts! In this episode of The Word Shift Series, we’re talking about the quiet power of shifting “have to” (or “need to”) into “get to.” When you start to say “I get to,” it reminds you that you worked hard (or are working hard) to build the the life you are living. These opportunities and challenges and the way you speak about them can reconnect you to gratitude.
Once I started practicing these word shifts. I am a believer in gratitude and when we are practicing gratitude life is better. And when we have things in our life that we "get to" do we are going to feel happier and when we have things in our life that we have to do then we are going to feel bogged down.
Language can trap us or expands us.. its our choice

When you use the word “should,” you create pressure where there doesn’t need to be any. Should is not desire based; its approval based.
It’s a word that pulls you out of the present and into judgment what you should’ve done, what you should be doing, or who you should be by now.
In this episode, I break down how “should” keeps you disconnected from your actual desires and aligned action. I share examples of how this word has shown up in my own life, and how shifting from “should” to “want” or “choose” changes everything from your energy to your self-trust.
Once you remove “should” from your vocabulary, you stop performing and start aligning. You come from a place of power and integrity.

When you use the word “try,” you’re giving yourself an out. It sounds like commitment, but it’s really hesitation in disguise.
“Try” helps you avoid failure. It gives you permission to play it safe.
It also keeps you from going all in and from learning what you’re actually capable of.
Most of the time, try comes from fear of failure, fear of success, or fear of what it means if you really do it.
It’s a soft no. It’s a question mark. It says maybe when what you actually mean is yes or no.
In this episode, we’ll talk about:
⭐️ The difference between “trying” and committing
⭐️ How “try” masks fear and uncertainty
⭐️ What it means to replace “I’ll try” with “I will” or “I won’t”
⭐️ How showing up without leeway builds confidence and integrity
I share a few real moments where I went into something with try energy hesitant, unsure, already doubting myself. My body didn’t believe me. When I shifted into do energy, I was grounded, focused, and fully in.
Once you take this word out of your vocabulary, everything changes because now, you’re not half in. You’re all in.

This episode is all about one of the most limiting words: "CAN'T" and the reasons why I choose to not say it and how I encourage my students to avoid it too!
This positive reframe will change your life! "Can't" fuels your limiting beliefs. There are so many ways to say what you want to say that inspires you vs. degrade you.
Can't is short cut to opt out before even doing, before showing up.
What I have found from listening is that "can't" statements are not about ability:
they are about:
to do the *thing*
Use this episode to become inspired and bring more into your life!

In this episode learn the 4 things that every dancer can do to have the best experience at class.
Step 1: Create your intention: Why did you come to class today? What did you want to get out of class today? What do you want to focus on? What do you want to improve? Where do you want your headspace to be?
Step 2: Check in with yourself: When the first confusing moment comes in, a check in for a question, and to check in to stay on your goal. Think beginning middle and end.
Step 3: Honor your hard volume: know how to alter your level. This is one of the coolest skills a dancer can OWN!
Step 4: Create a win for yourself and celebrate! Honor what you did and the fact that you showed up for yourself.
Incorporate the steps into your dance practice and watch how you have more meaningful dance experiences!

Everyone’s always waiting for the “perfect time.” I am a believer that perfect timing doesn’t exist. It’s something we create and choose to believe when we look at situations half full.
In this episode, I share the story of how I became a DJ. This moment could’ve easily looked like bad timing if I chose to see it that way.
I chose to look at the glass half full and trust in divine timing.
Everything was aligning for me.
This one’s for anyone sitting on an idea, waiting for the “right moment.
If you are able to reframe your mind around perfect timing then you may be able to have more "perfect timing" moments.

Have you ever experienced a crash after something so good? It could be a show you performed or went to, an event, a trip. It's usually when everything feels aligned, and you were lit up by the people around you. And when you get home its just feels sad, and borderline depressing, vs. motivating and uplifting.. like maybe you thought it would?
This episode is all about that feeling, the post-show blues, and how to move through it with more grace and grounding. I went to a conference and had so much fun that I got to feel the crash hard. I walk you through the steps I took that helped me:
Its ok to have a transition week... you get to build that in if it helps you.
