Sophia Sunwoo is a seasoned entrepreneur and marketing executive. At 19, she co-founded a successful clothing business from her dorm room, which gained significant attention when Miley Cyrus wore one of their hoodies in People Magazine. By the second year, they had two offers to buy out the company. By their third year, they decided to exit the business after expanding to 250 retailers worldwide!
In 2016, Sophia founded Ascent Strategy - with a mission to create profitable brands for female entrepreneurs who strive for excellence. Through her course Sales Mastery, she established a scholarship to help BIPOC women entrepreneurs boost sales through strategic marketing and sales psychology.
Sophia has been honored as a Forbes 30 Under 30, a Fred Alger Finance Award winner, a New York pitch finalist at ELLE Magazine’s Impact2 Awards, and was named one of the world’s 100 most inspiring women by Salt Magazine and Diageo.
