It's easy to get stuck in the past and focus on our failures, but God is doing a new thing. Our future is in God's hands so let's lean in to the new thing that God has for us.

The times we're living in have been the craziest and most challenging of my 71 years of life. But... GOD KNOWS... He knows! Today I want to encourage you with Psalm 64. Listen... read this Psalm another 2 or 3 times today and be encouraged, because God knows!

God has a plan for your life. What seems at time to be coincidences are not that. His plan is unfolding in your life. I love the story of Baby Moses and how in difficult times, God had a plan. Trust His plan today.

I love the hymns that Fanny Crosby wrote. She lived for 95 years and though blind from birth, wrote inspirational songs and had such a powerful ministry. Today I share a little about her and my favorite hymn she wrote... Blessed Assurance.

Little is much when God is in it. Those words were written in 1924 by Kittie Suffield in a hymn titled the same. God uses little things and He wants to use you today.

Philippians 2:3 says; Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. My challenge this year for myself and for you, is that our focus be on others. Others, yes other, let this my motto be. Lord help me to live for others that I might live like Thee.

I love the chorus I learned as a young man in church. Nothing is impossible when you put your trust in God; Nothing is impossible when you're trusting in His Word. Hearken to the voice of God to thee: "Is there anything too hard for Me?" Then put your trust in God alone and rest upon His Word-- For everything, O everything, Yes, everything is possible with God!

I love David's prayer to God in Psalm 57:1 - Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by. We've experienced a lot of calamities for sure, but God's mercy is here for you and I today.
