Over the years of my life songs and their words having been inspiring to me. Songs like The Old Rugged Cross, What a Friend We Have In Jesus, How Great Thou Art and Great Is Thy Faithfulness. My Dad's favorite hymn was In the Garden. In today's episode I'm going to share you the story behind the song, "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus. It will inspire you today.

Many times we may struggle with feeling powerless and defeated but there is a weapon that we have that will demolish those feelings. My father was a fireman with the City of Miami. I loved hearing his stories of rescue and fire fighting. They inspired me to help others. When they would enter into a burning structure they would cry out... "Fire department! Call out!" We too have someone we need to call out to and not just when we're in danger.

I remember a little song I learned in Sunday School while growing up. "I will make you fishers of men, fishers, of men, fishers of men. I will make you fishers of men and I'll follow you."
