"Try it; you'll like it." Have you ever said that? Today's YouVersion verse of the day is Psalm 34:8; "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" Today I invite you to come to the tasting room... to God's spiritual smorgasbord and find joy and purpose.

In Christ, we have been invited to enter boldly into the throne room of heaven and with confidence approach God's Throne, that we may obtain mercy, and find the grace we need to help in time of need. That's the message of Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." A mentor is defined as an experienced and trusted adviser. Probably the the best term in scripture for this would be discipling. Who are you discipling? Who are you a mentor to? Who are you making a difference in their life today. There are so many opportunities to do this but the question is, are you passing it on? Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Did you know that we're all called by God? While the specifics of our calling be unique, the base of our calling is to be like Jesus in the world we live in. It's so easy to be satisfied with minimal requirements and doing just enough to get by. It can be a real struggle not to fall into that life. Psalm 23:3 says; "He restores my soul...". Restoration is defined as, the action of returning something to a former owner, place, or condition. Throughout our lives we become depleted and in need of restoration. Too many of us run till we're out of gas or running on fumes. Do you have a plan for restoration? Romans 8:6 says; "The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace." My question to us today is who or what is governing our mind? What is occupying our thoughts and thus directing our lives? Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

It so easy to think we understand something and think we see things clearly. But it's also easy to be out of focus, to be in a haze and feeling lost. What clears up everything for the child of God is God's Word, the Bible. Only there can we find the perspective and understanding we need.

In 1989 the Maranatha Singers released an album with a powerful song on it. The song is titled, He Is Able. It has a powerful message and one that we need today. "He is able more than able to accomplish what concerns me today. He is able more than able to handle anything that comes my way. He is able more than able to do much more than I could ever dream. He is able more than able to make me what He wants me to be."

Someone has called judging others “our favorite sin.” Some of us are experts at seeing what is wrong with someone else. We wonder why others can’t be more like us. We judge them for their shortcomings and failures, or even for the way they look or dress or talk. We judge others for their weaknesses while we ourselves are often guilty of doing the same things.
