In yesterday's episode I cautioned about the "Disappointment Trap." In today's episode I want to further develop how disappointments can become a blessing when we share what we learned in them, to be a blessing and encouragement to others.

As we all know, dealing with disappointment is challenging and trying, but there is an ominous trap if you don't come to grips with it. God's grace is there for every disappointment. To resist or fail to accept that grace will result in only bitterness and darkness.

We've broken the law... the law of sowing and reaping. Galatians 6:7-8 says; 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. As a nation, as a world, as individuals we're reaping what we've sowed. What will you sow today or will your attitude be... "Sow What?"

It's graduation time all over the country. Students are donning the cap and gown and taking the walk. It's the culmination of years of hard work and hours of different classes. Learning to trust God is a process that is ongoing. I'm 67 and still haven't graduated. I continue to learn in the School of Trust.

The message and theme of today's Morning Manna is simple... Praise the Lord! No matter what... in good times and bad times, just praise the Lord. Our God inhabits praise. Meet Him there and you can overcome anything.

One of the most important things to remember when facing a challenge is that you must go "through" it. You can't circumnavigate it by going around, below or above it. Its in the process of going through it, that God teaches and grows us.

I love this quote that I heard years ago... "Did it ever occur to you that nothing occurs to God?" While we may be taken by surprised... God is not... not ever! So what do we do when the challenging, unexpected happens?

Our faith and beliefs are being challenged as never before. It breaks my heart to see some wavering under the pressure of culture. Our anchor is and always will be the Word of God. The Word that will abide forever true and will sustain through every challenge and battle.

What is your source of happiness? Is it your job, your friends, your bank account? Psalm 146:5 says; Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God." God is and wants to be your source of happiness today. Make it so!

In a race or in any endeavor, it is critical to keep your eye on the goal. In today's episode I share from Hebrews 12:2 about keeping our eyes on Jesus. That's more of a challenge today than most of us think. Distractions abound in so many places but the source of our faith, salvation and sustenance can only be found in Him.
