Did you know that your words determine your destiny? Jesus said, “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned” (Matthew 12:37).

There will always be enough injustice and irritation to keep us in the wilderness if we choose to murmur, complain, criticize, covet, doubt, and rebel. Psalm 11 has some encouraging words for us to ponder.

The world says — rightly — “Love your friends. Be loyal to your friends. Look out for your friends.” Why? Friends will look out for you. But Jesus said; "... love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,[h] 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." That my friend... is Tough Love, but it's what Jesus calls us to today.

In today's episode I share how pressure can be good for us. In the same way pressure us used in creating Espresso, full of flavor... God uses tribulation in our lives to build character. Romans 5:3-4 " 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope."

Proverbs 25:28 Self-control is simply that important, impressive, and nearly impossible practice of learning to maintain control of the beast of one’s own sinful passions. It means remaining master of your own domain when faced with trial or temptation.
