In today's episode I share some thoughts about Donkey's in the Bible. Insignificant and somewhat ignoble, yet used by God in amazing ways. I believe that God wants to use you and I today and the only requirement is willingness.

Today I share the story of Simeon from Luke 2:25-35. Can you imagine waiting your whole life for the fulfillment of a promise? And then, after your eyes have become weak from searching the scriptures and your knees have grown tired from kneeling in prayer, the Lord suddenly says, “Today, Simeon. He is here.”

How many of us would have endured that long period of waiting without losing hope, losing faith or losing interest?

Today I share from Psalm 84:5-7 and talk about knowing God in the valley. We may enjoy God on the mountaintops, but we get to know Him intimately in the valleys. "As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools." Psalm 84:6

In today's episode I share about the importance of hearing from God. In the busyness and chaos of our lives, we often are not quiet or attentive enough to hear God's voice. “Pause a moment, Job, and listen; consider the wonderful things God does.” (Job 37:14 GNT)

Let your focus today be, to be "Jesusly." That's a word that I heard from a student pastor hears ago. It's about being Christlike... and the best way we can be Jesusly today is to focus our lives on serving others. Philippians 2:4 "Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."

Did it ever occur to you that nothing occurs to God? While we may be surprised or taken back by unexpected events, God is never surprised. He is all knowing and everywhere present... even in your future. He always has for us, just what we need in the way of grace and comfort.

At times, the pace of life can get hectic and stressful. Thank God that He provides grace for the pace. 2 Corinthians 9:8 "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work." Receive His grace today for your pace today.

In today's episode I share a quote from Katie Davis Majors, "It’s amazing, really, that we can get exactly what we need by walking through what we never wanted." It reminded me of God's promise in Romans 8:28. But... the path to the promise may not always be enjoyable.
