God is going to do great things in your life in this season as long as you are connected to the plan of God. When you are connected to God’s plan, nothing can stop you. God will ensure His purpose is fulfilled in your life. He will scatter the proud and haughty and shame your enemies. He is taking notice of you and is about to work in your life. The tables are turning in your favor.

If your acquaintances are discouraging you and quenching the fire God birthed in your soul, you are probably around the wrong people. You need to surround yourself with people of like precious faith, people who are spiritually mature and excited about what God is doing. These kind of people will help nurture the faith God gave you and help enable you to give birth to God’s purpose for your life. “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” This prophecy God gave to Isaiah was fulfilled several hundred years later. The angel Gabriel visited Mary with wonderful news that she would be the mother of the Christ. Mary asked how could that be, especially since she was a virgin, but the angel responded that with God nothing shall be impossible.

It does not take God a long time to work. He will give you a miracle so fast, you will feel like you are dreaming. Once several armies combined forces and came up against Joshua and the children of Israel. The enemy was so vast they covered the land like sand on the seashore. But God told Joshua, and He is telling you, “Do not be afraid of them. By this time tomorrow I will hand all of them over to Israel as dead men.” Your breakthrough is about to manifest. God will give you victory in 24 hours!

The Bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue. Do you need a miracle? Start declaring it. Desperate for more time to destroy his enemies, Joshua spoke to the sun and commanded it to be still. And God did the impossible! The sun stood still until Joshua had conquered his foes. There is victory in your mouth. Speak to your mountain and command it to move.

Joshua was a man used mightily by God, but he once made a mistake we can all learn from about deception. The Gibeonites were a people Joshua and the Israelites were supposed to eradicate, but the Gibeonites were shrewd. They wore tattered clothes and pretended to be from a faraway land in hopes that Joshua would make peace with them. Instead of consulting God, Joshua made a decision based on what he saw with his natural eyes. He swore an oath of peace with the Gibeonites and was deceived. Later, he discovered the Gibeonites were close neighbors. It is important to seek God before making important decisions to avoid being deceived.

Joshua was near the town of Jericho, probably wondering how he was going to take the city when suddenly the Lord appeared to him. Jericho was a large city surrounded by giant walls, but God was bigger than any challenge Joshua faced. God gave Joshua the victory strategy, telling him to march around the city for seven days. On the seventh day, he would march seven times and shout and the walls would come tumbling down. Lift your hands to heaven. Your Jericho walls are about to come down. Your moment of breakthrough is here!

Louis Pasteur said opportunity comes to the prepared mind. He could not have said it better. You have to be ready for what God is about to do in your life. That is why it is important to plan in advance and prepare yourself. When God opens a door, walk through it. You may have to leave some people behind, but do not miss your moment. God is splitting the Jordan river wide open for you like He did for the children of Israel. This is your opportunity. Take it.

Have you been praying about a business deal or a change in career? Do not be anxious about how things are going to work out. God has already gone before you and prepared the way. Take a step of faith, and trust that God is working all things together for your good. God prepared the way for the children of Israel to conquer Jericho, and He preserved Rahab who hid the two men Joshua sent to spy out the land. Rahab became a great ancestor of the Lord Jesus. God has a plan. Dare to put your confidence in Him.

Moses had died, and Joshua was anointed in his place. Joshua may have felt overwhelmed and unqualified to lead the children of Israel across the Jordan and into the promised land, but God encouraged him. God told Joshua to be strong and courageous. He told Joshua that He was with him, and He would not fail him. “As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee” (Joshua 1:5). Do not be afraid. God is with you like he was with Moses and Joshua. You are the right person for the job!
