  • Stop Wishing, Start Speaking: The Power of God's Word in Your Life | Joshua Scott Zeitz

    Send us a text

Have you ever caught yourself saying "If only..." and then describing what would make your life better? We all create these conditional scenarios, believing our happiness depends on changing circumstances. But what if the most powerful "if-then" statement already exists in scripture?

Today we dive into Jesus's profound words from John 15:7: "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you." Unlike our worldly conditional thinking, this divine promise offers something far more transformative – a relationship with Christ that changes everything.

The Christian journey isn't about wishful thinking or desperately hoping circumstances might improve. It's about taking God at His word and standing firmly on His promises regardless of how things appear. When we stop merely wishing and start speaking God's Word, when we cease hoping and start believing with confidence, transformation follows.

God hasn't left us to figure life out alone. He's provided clear direction through scripture and invites us into an abiding relationship where our desires align with His heart. This process unfolds over time as we consistently choose to remain in Christ and let His words take root within us.

Ready to exchange your conditional scenarios for God's powerful promises? Join us as we discover what happens when we truly abide in Jesus and let His words abide in us. Remember, if God is for you, who can be against you? What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.

  • Satan only shows you the thrill, never the bill. | Joshua Scott Zeitz

    Send us a text

Satan only shows you the thrill, not the bill that comes after. Through passages from Isaiah and Ezekiel, we uncover how Lucifer—once described as "full of wisdom and perfect in beauty"—fell from his exalted position through pride and rebellion. This fallen angel then approached Adam and Eve in Eden, offering temporary pleasure while hiding devastating consequences.

Why does something so wrong feel so right in the moment? I share my personal journey through drug addiction that began innocently enough in the back of a friend's car. What started as a momentary high gradually deadened my conscience, leading me down a path of escalating drug use, theft, broken relationships, and ultimately jail time. None of these consequences were visible when temptation first appeared—just like Eve couldn't see beyond the fruit that was "pleasant to the eyes."

The enemy excels at perverting God's good gifts, hijacking our pleasure centers while concealing the destruction that follows. My story reached rock bottom on a jailhouse floor facing 12 years in prison, but that wasn't the end. God's redemptive power changed everything, offering freedom where addiction once chained me. If you're struggling with any form of addiction today, there's hope beyond the cycle of diminishing returns and increasing consequences. Don't run from God in shame—run to Him for salvation. He stands ready to transform your rock bottom into the foundation of a new beginning.

  • The Quack Toy: Understanding Sin's Grip on Humanity

    Send us a text

From the depths of human disobedience to the heights of divine grace, Romans 5:19 unveils a profound spiritual reality: "For as by one man's disobedience, many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." This powerful scripture launches us into an exploration of sin's origins and God's extraordinary response.

Sin entered our world through a single act of disobedience in the Garden of Eden, lodging itself deep within humanity's heart. Like a foreign object unknowingly trapped in one's throat, sin caused damage without our understanding its source. Here's where God's mercy shines brilliantly—rather than abandoning us to our condition, He provided the law as a spiritual x-ray, revealing what was causing our suffering. This diagnosis wasn't punishment but grace, showing us what needed healing.

Yet God's love didn't stop at diagnosis. In the ultimate act of redemption, Jesus Christ became sin for us, breaking death's hold through His sacrifice. What began with one man's disobedience found its remedy in one man's perfect obedience. This singular act of love offers us freedom from sin's chains and the opportunity to spend eternity with our Creator. Whether you're hearing this message for the first time or have walked with Jesus for years, the invitation remains: embrace this salvation for yourself and share it with others. The good news is too powerful to keep to ourselves—Jesus is alive, and He has rescued us from sin!

  • In Everything Give Thanks: Discovering God's Goodness Despite Life's Challenges | Joshua Scott Zeitz

    Send us a text

Gratitude transforms how we experience life's challenges. Drawing from 1 Thessalonians 5:18, today's meditation explores the profound difference between being thankful FOR everything versus IN everything. This isn't semantic wordplay—it's a life-changing distinction that reshapes our entire approach to suffering.

God's goodness remains constant even when our circumstances don't. Every blessing originates from Him (James 1:17), which means He stands as our solution, not our problem. While scripture acknowledges that troubles inevitably come, the promises of scripture remind us we're never alone in them. Greater is He within us than any force against us. The righteous face many afflictions, yet divine deliverance remains assured.

The cross reveals Jesus' heart toward our suffering. He endured ultimate pain "for the joy set before Him"—and remarkably, that joy was us. This great exchange offers righteousness for our shame, peace for our turmoil, and hope for our despair. When darkness feels overwhelming, remember God isn't bringing death, curses, or trouble—He's your refuge from them. He stands as your ever-present help, your closest friend, your unshakable rock. The invitation remains simple yet profound: don't blame Him, claim Him. Run toward God rather than away when life gets difficult. In doing so, you'll discover the supernatural ability to give thanks in everything, reflecting the true will of God for your life.

  • Bloom Where You're Planted

    Send us a text

Have you ever felt the frustrating tension between where you are and where you want to be in your spiritual journey? That restless dissatisfaction might actually be causing you to miss divine encounters happening right in front of you.

"Bloom where you are planted" isn't just a quaint saying—it's a profound spiritual principle that challenges our tendency to always look elsewhere for meaning and fulfillment. While God certainly gives us dreams and ambitions that stretch beyond our current reality, fixating solely on future possibilities often blinds us to His presence in our everyday lives. Jesus might be walking right by us while our heads are either "too high in the clouds, dreaming, or too low to the ground, sulking."

The Christian life reveals a beautiful partnership: our part is simply to show up faithfully where we are, while God's part is to "show out" with His power. Jesus made it abundantly clear that without Him we can do nothing, but with Him, even our current limitations become spaces for supernatural intervention. The waiting periods that feel like setbacks are often divine setups where God is preparing something extraordinary. Before the disciples could reach "the uttermost parts of the earth," they first needed to be witnesses where they already stood—in Jerusalem.

Are you tempted to uproot yourself, hoping things will be better somewhere else? Before making that move, consider whether you might be missing Jesus in the seemingly ordinary moments of your current situation. The abundant life you seek might not require a change of scenery but a change of perspective. Today, choose to be that witness who recognizes Christ's presence right where you are, trusting that as you make His presence known to others, He will faithfully reveal Himself to you.
