Joe has been an entrepreneur and a small business owner, working with small businesses for most of his career. He started working EARLY in life—at just 13, he got his first job in a restaurant. He also spent most of his summers cutting grass and winters shoveling driveways. But soon, he got the cooking bug, and helped run a busy kitchen, all at the tender age of 16! Talk about motivation! At this point, he thought that culinary was his mission. But, as most entrepreneurs know, life is not a linear path—computers, marketing, printing, and publishing became his businesses, and he even briefly worked in corporate roles. Ultimately, cybersecurity seems to have won his heart. Wendy is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters in counseling psychology. While she only practices therapy in California, where she is licensed, she also provides coaching here in North Carolina, specifically to empower teens and young adults to heal from complex trauma and its symptoms including anxiety and depression. While we often think of early trauma as arising from abuse or neglect, Wendy also works with clients to overcome the often-unspoken wounds left by significant losses, bullying, difficult life transitions, community violence, hospital stays, divorce, and even difficulty connecting with a parent who was overburdened with responsibilities or who suffered from their childhood trauma.
