Too Much Fun!

Guys, this is such a cute book! My little man (age 4), is obsessed with Too Many Moose! We had checked it out from the library previously and read it and re-read it again and again. We would go to bed at night, and my son would say, "Mom, I just love the Moose book so much."

So, of course, Santa brought it for Christmas.

The illustrations are silly and fun, the writing uses glorious alliteration, which stemmed discussion with my child about the grammatical novelty.

We so recommend this book!

Another Fantastic Otter Book!

I love the Otter books. The stories are funny and sweet with very relatable life lessons. But it's the drawings that have me hooked. I love Sam Garton's drawing style and his eye for colors. Otter is adorable and her facial expressions are perfect for the situations she gets into. And how her body is drawn is just sweet. And then there's Otter Keeper and Otter's friends; there's her crayons, her drawings, her "OTTER" bottle, her toys, and the scenes for her adventures - it's all fun to look at and see what's been included in the picture. It's like looking for hidden prizes and it just makes the books more fun. These books are great to personally own and they've been a hit as gifts to friends with kids. I look forward to the next Otter book!

Otter Makes So Many Friends!

I am such an Otter fan at this point that I buy whatever is published, sight unseen. And this book really hit it out of the park. I remember, as a child, playing school: lining up my dolls and stuffed animals facing me, borrowing forbidden pens and paper, and instructing my "students" in the finest arts of countries on the equally forbidden globe while clad in my church slip and socks. (I also remember many a "wait until your father gets home" after my mother investigated why it was so quiet in my room.) And, although Otter doesn't break any rules setting up her school in her Keeper's absence, she worries about how to be a good teacher for her students, particularly her favorite (partner in crime and) student, Teddy.

The drawings are so charming and authentic, and Otter's character is so sweet and endearing. The books support independence, with Keeper going to work each day and Otter entertaining herself (with varying results), but Keeper is always there at the end of the day to lend a supportive and loving hand. I love these stories, and I hope there are many more to come.

Otter is lovable, and story and illustrations are adorable

I purchased this for my 3-1/2 year old after purchasing the first book, I Am Otter, which he loved! We stumbled upon this author simply from our love for sea otters. Otter has a loveable personality (along the lines of Curious George and The Man in the Yellow Hat), and the illustrations in the book are beautiful, detailed, and colorful. We plan to add more Otter books to our collection soon.

Love love love love this book!

This is such a cute book. I read a lot of children's books over The past 10 years. I had resigned myself to reading lame, boring books. But this book is funny, original, entertaining, and has such a sweet message. Better yet, it's about otters! My son is crazy about otters! He actually owns 15 stuffed otters. My son just started kindergarten this year, and I thought this was going to be a book about going to school. But rather, it is a book about finding each person special talent. Still a very valid message.

Great story, great pictures and great lessons to impart ...

This author/illustrator has a magical way of expressing her characters emotions. The two videos that have been done for both of Kelly Lights books are entertaining and keep children as little as 2 bouncing to the music and watching the pictures. I have ordered several of these books to send to grandchildren and friends. We all have had to deal with sibling rivalry when raising children. Kelly Light gives us a way to solve some of this by reading the story to our children. We all have had to deal with neighbor's children and disagreements. This author gives us a solution to offer our children. Great story, great pictures and great lessons to impart to our children. Can't wait for the next book.

I love this author

I love this author! My grandson received his Louise and Andie last night and took the book to 'school' today for his book report! He's 4 years old and loves Louise Loves Art just as much! Looking forward to many more stories from this author!

Awesome Cute Children's Story

I thought this was so cute. I can't wait till my granddaughter gets to hear this one too. In fact, I loved it and I know she will.

Ruby Allure writes incredibly good children's stories. I hope there'll be more to come.

Triera Holley's narration was off the charts excellent. Both are definitely great storytellers.

Just ok

I wanted to give this a great review. However, it did not hold either of my children's attention. The story also ended very abruptly. I wish the writer had given a little more at the end. It is rather a frightening book from my perspective as a mother being that the mischief makers in the end leave Tinkle crying and bound up. I care for foster children that didn't sit well with me at all. I received this book for free for an honest review. I liked the fact the author was heading for a good ending it was the abruptness of the ending and how it ended I struggled with.

I really enjoyed this story, even as a grown up! It reminded me of Enid Blytons The Magic Faraway Tree, which I loved as a child. The story telling is very imaginative and visual, great for kids. Its a short story with a surprise ending that leaves you wanting more.
