Little Brother is currently trending in Netflix's Top 10 and pairs John Cena with Eric André in an unlikely comedy duo. The film mixes outrageous physical comedy with heartfelt family drama, following a successful real estate agent whose carefully planned life is turned upside down by the unexpected arrival of someone from his past. While the cast brings plenty of energy and the movie aims for an emotional message about family and perspective, the biggest question is whether its blend of raunchy humor and sincere storytelling actually works.

I finally checked out We Bury the Dead on Hulu after hearing a lot of positive buzz, and it's definitely not your typical zombie movie. Instead of focusing on nonstop horror, the film leans into grief, loss, and emotional healing, with Daisy Ridley delivering a strong performance. The unique premise kept me interested, but the slower pace and lack of satisfying payoff may leave some viewers disappointed. I can definitely see why critics and audiences were so divided on this one. If you're looking for a thoughtful, character-driven take on the zombie genre, this might be worth checking out—but your mileage may vary.

Netflix’s Office Romance brings Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein together in a workplace romantic comedy about two ambitious professionals who find themselves caught between career goals and unexpected feelings. While the movie has some strong chemistry between the leads and a solid setup, does it do enough to stand out from the endless stream of predictable rom-coms?

In this review, I break down what works, what doesn’t, and whether this trending Netflix romance is worth your time or just another familiar love story we’ve seen before.

Disclosure Day follows a man on the run after stealing highly classified secrets and a meteorologist whose bizarre public incident suddenly puts her in the crosshairs of the same powerful forces pursuing him. As their paths collide, a mystery unfolds that slowly reveals a much bigger story.

Steven Spielberg delivers a suspenseful sci-fi thriller packed with strong performances, intriguing mysteries, and a steady stream of clues that keep you invested. While the journey is exciting and visually impressive, the final payoff may feel familiar to longtime fans of the genre. Still, if you're looking for a well-crafted big-screen adventure with plenty of mystery and tension, Disclosure Day is worth checking out.

The Wayans Brothers are finally back with Scary Movie after 25 years! The nostalgia is strong, Anna Faris and Regina Hall haven't missed a beat, and the movie throws EVERYTHING from Scream, M3GAN, Terrifier, Longlegs, and more into the mix. But does stuffing every horror and pop culture reference imaginable actually make it funny? My full review breaks it down. 🎬👻😂

“Obsession” might be one of the best horror surprises of the year. What starts as a simple wish for love turns into a disturbing nightmare about possessiveness and obsession. Inde Navarrette delivers a standout performance that genuinely gave me Pearl/Mia Goth vibes. The movie keeps the story simple but executes it almost flawlessly with creepy visuals, clever jump scares, and an ending that really pays off. It runs a little long and has a few predictable moments, but overall this is a must-watch for horror fans.

Charlize Theron brings solid energy to Netflix’s Apex, a survival thriller about grief, isolation, and a dangerous encounter deep in the Australian wilderness. The movie moves at a good pace and has a few decent action moments, but the biggest problem is how predictable everything feels. The villain is way too over-the-top, the twists are obvious, and some character decisions just don’t make sense. Still, if you’re looking for an easy “background noise” thriller to throw on, it’s watchable enough. Not terrible, but definitely not one of Netflix’s best thrillers.

The setup is simple: a Cat 5 storm hits a small town, flooding everything and unleashing blood-crazed sharks. It delivers some solid chaos, decent effects, and a few gnarly kills. Plus, it doesn’t take itself too seriously and keeps things moving with a short runtime. But the downside? Weak characters, rough acting, and nothing that really sets it apart from better shark movies already out there. Some scenes (especially the “serious” moments) just don’t land at all.

Overall: not terrible, but not worth going out of your way for. If you want a better version of this vibe, Under Paris does it better.

Balls Up had potential… but fumbles hard. Outside of a funny opening and a few laughs from Sacha Baron Cohen, this buddy comedy is mostly dated jokes, weak chemistry, and a messy story. Mark Wahlberg does his usual thing—but there’s just nothing here to elevate. Easy skip.
