Welcome back to Mostly Superheroes the Podcast. This time, join host Logan Janis (me) for a sit down with conductor, producer, director, and performer, Emily Marshall.

Emily Marshall is a music director, conductor, musician and producer based in NYC. She is the Associate Conductor/Keyboardist of The Who, performing with them all across the US, Europe and the UK. Last fall she joined the Sony/Marvel family as the Conductor/Music Director of the North American tour of Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse in Concert. And this winter she will be conducting the sold-out US premiere of Avatar: The Last Airbender in concert!

Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert offers a captivating experience, blending a live orchestral performance of the iconic series soundtrack with an immersive two-hour recap of the animated show’s three seasons on a full-size cinema screen. The projection preserves the original dialogue and sound effects, allowing the orchestra to seamlessly synchronize with the show scenes. See the show 9/14 at The Fabulous Fox in St. Louis.

The 2025 remake of The Naked Gun, starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, has been positively reviewed by the Mostly Superheroes podcast crew. Hear from Logan, Carrie, Scotty, and Andy in this instant take from the lobby of Marcus Ronnie’s Cinema in St. Louis.

The Naked Gun is a hilarious, short, and fun slapstick comedy. The crew gave the movie high ratings, with one 4.0 out of 4.0, while others gave it a 3.5 and 3.0. The film is said to have successfully captured the spirit of the originals, with great casting and many Easter eggs that pay homage to the previous films.

Reviewers specifically praised Liam Neeson as one of the best choices for the role and Pamela Anderson for her amazing performance. The movie is considered a timeless and rewatchable comedy that proves this type of humor can still be successful in a modern age.
