In this episode, Andie and Angie continue their conversation about Mother’s Day! Angie is all about the homemade presents, crafts, and special treats from her kids on Mother’s Day. However, Mother’s Day can be complicated for some moms as they try to juggle all of the different moms and grandmas in their life. Remember that communicating with your husband and kids about your Mother’s Day expectations can help eliminate drama and stress. Andie and Angie also change Mother’s Day into a national holiday/law called Mom’s Day Off. Every mom deserves at least one day off a year! It’s Mother’s Day! A day to honor, respect, and help moms feel special. Angie is excited about Mother’s Day, but Andie has some reservations since Mother’s Day can be a complex holiday for some moms. Angie and Andie discuss the history of Mother’s Day with the added twist of the invention of mimosas. This is not the time to start fact checking Mother Funny. Andie and Angie also have an important PSA for husbands- Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate and honor the mother of their children. Andie and Angie laugh about a Mother’s Day tea they had with their moms and grandma that was a little stressful at the time, but hilarious to relive now.

“Adoption is a calling… embrace it, run with it, and don’t let fear hold you back.” In this episode Andie and Angie continue their conversation with Andrea Jones about adoption. At the beginning of the episode Andie tells a hilarious story  about a time when Andie and Andrea visited a winery together. Who knew entering a winery could be so funny? Andie, Angie and Andrea laugh, joke around and go a little off topic throughout this episode. Andrea also shares her biggest surprises, moments of laughter, and what she learned while going  through the adoption process. PSA-  the Santa discussion at the end of the episode is for moms only. Do you know that one mom who can make any situation hilarious? Well, that’s Ann! Andie and Angie interview Ann and laugh throughout their entire time together. “We’re gonna handle this playground style!” In this episode Andie and Angie talk about kids going to public school or private school. They have very interesting perspectives since Andie went to public school as a child, but her kids have gone to charter school, public school and been homeschooled. Angie on the other hand was homeschooled, but chose to put her girls in public school. Andie and Angie laugh as they talk about the pros and cons of kids going to school outside the home. They also discuss the saying, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” What do you think about that saying? How has that saying impacted how you parent? Andie and Angie talk about trying to get kids to school on time. Getting kids out of the door in the morning can be stressful, eventful, rushed or even a little embarrassing if the van door doesn’t work. When kids attend public school or private school they need to figure out how to handle certain social situations on their own. How do you decide what school option is best for your child? So many options, which to choose?! In this episode Andie & Angie discuss the pros and cons of homeschool and charter homeschool options. Angie was an OG homeschool kid who became a public school mom, and Andie was a public school kid who became a homeschool mom… then charter homeschool mom… then public school mom. It’s a long story.  And all that experience makes for a great episode with lots of laughs! Homeschool has changed over the years, and apparently there’s also a little bit of a rivalry between homeschool and charter schools. Andie and Angie talk pros and cons share stories, and make it very clear that one school option is not inherently better than another. Parents need to make the decision that’s best for each child. Then there’s the Bumper Jumper game they created at the CHEA convention. Oh, and it’s okay if you’re currently wearing a Bumper Jumper since styles from the 90s are coming back…even low rise jeans (which Angie is excited about but Andie has a very different opinion).
