In our first episode of Motherhood Confessions we're anonymously interviewing a beautiful Mother and listener who has shared her personal and honest experience of parenting with us.
This week's Mum tells us she's experienced the death of identity during her ongoing period of matresence. She's been navigating these feelings only to discover she doesn't have postnatal depression, she just genuinely hates being a mother and wishes she could go back in time and choose differently knowing what she does now.
She is also a single mother after being convinced by her ex Husband to have kids, only for him to provide no help once her daughter arrived. During the marriage he showed narcissistic behaviours so she took the step two years ago to end the toxic relationship.
She does love her daughter, but feels that not everyone was built to be a mother. She's felt so alone going through this and wants to share her story so other women out there who may feel the same way know that they are not alone.
If you have a story you'd like to tell anonymously, we'd love to hear from you. Send us a message on instagram @babybrain.podcast or via email [email protected] we will keep all of your details completely anonymous and confidential.
