But in fact, the comfort zone is a useful psychological concept that can help you embrace risk and make changes in your life that can lead to real personal growth.
The comfort zone has been previously defined as a "behavioural space where your activities and behaviours fit a routine and pattern that minimizes stress and risk" - the operative words here being stress and risk. In our comfort zone, there is a sense of familiarity, security and certainty.
