With luck (all bad) that could only befall the MotorMouth's, this weeks show is shorter due to an unforeseen power issue in the studio. Be that as it may, guests Elliott Weiner from the L.I. T-Bird Club and John Bianca from the T-Bird Owners of NY were in the studio and special co-host MatcoMan Brian was helping co-host. The boys pulled it off with a lot of help and were able to get the word out about the upcoming car show these men were promoting.

With full graphic detail, Chris dredges up an old story about how Ray solved a sticky steering wheel problem. A caller's random stalling and overheating problem is addressed, as well as a P0304 ignition code Ray was blessed with this week. We wrap it all up by talking about the only car show Ray will attend, the upcoming MALBA Display on the Bay.

The guys start out with a recap of a truck suspension job Ray fought with during the week, and you'll find the pictures on our social media pages. We moved from trucks to carburetor repair on a Moped and a '66 Mustang, throwing in our thoughts on using mechanics gloves. Tool box drawer labels round out the hour of fun.

Engine timing and coolant temperature correlation is tossed around, then Scott Kolecki joins the show to talk about his Car Tech book titled "Corvette Concept Cars: Developing America's Favorite Sports Car".

It's a hoppin' show this week with Sparks flying everywhere. Ok, not metal sparks, but music from Sparks the band! The boys celebrate the 50th year anniversary of American Graffiti then Ray talks about "Day 2" additions to restored cars like adding tow tabs & ladder bars. Chris gets hung up over Hurst shifter handle lengths, then beefing up stock car audio systems gets covered in this hour of fun.

With Chris in the studio for a visit, the boys talk about how to tunea Sniper fuel injection system & Ray relates how he recently swapped a set of snow tires for a laptop to tune his car. How to sell a car with known engine damage, and the joy of mounting a child seat in a modern car follows. YouTube phenom "Wrenching with Kenny" calls to explain how a good mechanic has piles of used parts at his disposal when working on and repairing cars these days.

This week Chris recounts the results of a compression test that left him wondering if there's more to worry about, but found a diversion in swapping out thecarpet in his Chrysler C-body. Ray was affected by the "Switzer-ism" whereby a lost part cannot be found when looking for it, it'll be found when looking for something else.That's the case of the missing Pontiac valley pan, followed by door hinge alignment woes.

Ray recounts the successful wiper motor replacement on a friend's1972 Corvette, then Chris reveals the new caller text service used on the show. Car interiors made from mushrooms gets some talk time, as does Chris' repair technique on a car's grille. You Tuber "Wrenching with Kenny" comes up when the boys talk about affordable scan tools, and questionable car smells round out the show.

We start off with a caller describing a common problem found on lawn tractors; the compression release mechanism breaks, rendering the machine un-startable. A broken 4-speed transmission in a '67 Camaro follows, with Ray suggesting a 5-speed conversion to the owner. Guest Carl Anthony from Automoblog.net rolls up his sleeves and gets dirty with the boys, he also shows some love to the much-maligned Samurai, Tracker & Geo line of cars.

Ray helps a good friend install a dash cluster in a 57 Chevy, then Chris recounts an issue with the transmission in a family member's 67 Camaro. Rust conversion treatment for an 80's El Camino is covered, as well as some other rust encasing strategies. The ergonomics of the Chevy Malibu and Cruze are talked about, capped by the type of drivers who like the Suzuki Samurai.
