Dan Short from the very popular TV show Fantomworks calls in to discuss his new media ventures, including his homesteading involvement. Auto parts availability & quality are also kicked around this hour.

Do falsely advertised car ads on social media and the web annoy you as much as they do Chris? If so you'll love his recent rant. The boys talk about the new de-soldering tool Ray bought for audio projects and the crows foot wrenches Chris treated himself to. Fiat window repair and a fuse-blowing Buick heater switch round out the hour.

Extended oil change intervals kicks this show off, and if you're familiar with our train of thought you'll know that the spare tire cover rant that followed was totally normal. Ray's chore of moving the shop's NASCAR proved to be interesting to say the least, and Chris learned that his Tracker transmission may need help. Buick timing chain stretch diagnosis closed out this hour of fun.

This week we find Chris doing battle with car batteries, and he finally finds one that gets his Explorer to pass a state inspection. Chalk one up in the win column when the Chinese shift solenoids Chris bought for his Tracker have (so far) solved his 1-2 shift problem. Ray talks about working with a friend installing axles & bearings in a B-body Chrysler, and getting out of a tough jam in the shop.

Louis Lee from the Thursday night Playing N Traffic show calls in to give his report from the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Last year was a bust but this event showed the industry off in fine fashion. Jeepin Al called in his report from Ocala FL. from the Don Garlits museum's 35th anniversary event. A caller's EVAP code, Chris' Tracker shift solenoids and his sticky Chrysler voltage regulator are also topics this week.

New tools are always falling into our orbit, and this week we had Clint Rhodes from HandeeClamp.com on the show to talk about his innovative holding tool. Just to keep the boys on the straight and narrow, MatcoMan Brian joined the fray to add his expert advice and thoughts on the issue. Chris' Holley carburetor woes and Ray's most dangerous notebook were also talked about on this show.

The boys have Bill Wandalowski & Tom Sarmento on the show today to talk about Tom's book titled "The Man Behind the General" as in The General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard TV show. Also covered are crappy OEM plastic engine parts Ray has to deal with, and an EGR valve that just may have fixed the idle problem in Chris' Tracker.

We compare the care and feeding of older vs newer paint work as well as some of the car show etiquette we've seen, good and bad.
