Legal Corner/Tsa Molao and Restorative Justice: Jacky Morema Polokwane municipality held a 4 day Youth integration Camp on the 9th to 13 February at Magobaskloof Ruskamp.
Attendees included 15 community youth leaders and 15 inmates from Polokwane correctional service.
The camp focused on Counselling, Entrepreneurship, leadership and Talent Management,
The main aim of the camp was to come up with workable methods to welcome and integrate ex-offenders back in the society once they are released from Rehabilitation centres.
The camp also established that one of the biggest fears going out and being stigmatised and be called names, although everybody has choices it seemed that community stigmatisation and unequal opportunities due to a criminal record are amongst the highest reasons why ex-offenders reoffend.
