The New Covenant is Better (So Don’t Apostatize!)

Major themes this week are salvation history, the anticipation of the New Covenant and heaven, being a pilgrim in this world, perseverance . . . . .and FAITH. Jesus is our example of perfect faith in his going to the cross and obeying his father's will.

This weeks sermon is about the kingdom of God being present in the world, yet evil still being IN the world. We look a lot at Jesus being king, being citizens of his kingdom . . .and hell. The evil of this world - and the evil people in this world - and the coming judgment. Jesus' inaugurated kingdom is not spectacular . . . but it's going to become something glorious.

This week's sermon is about faith in Jesus - weak faith and strong faith. There is also a big emphases on the BLOOD - the blood of Jesus. There is also a lot about the defilement of sin.

The Mystery of Israel's Salvation

The role of Israel in salvation history; gentile salvation; election; continuing in the faith; the gospel going out into all the world; the resurrection of the dead at the return of Christ.

Israel's Accountability, God's Sovereign Remnant; God's election, Israel role in salvation history, Jesus fulfilling the law. This sermon is very salvation historical and looks at God's mercy in electing us to salvation. It's all of grace!
