Jimmy Davis - Exodus tells the story of how God will move heaven and earth to be with His people. He rescues and redeems His people by providing Jesus as our substitute sacrifice and by subduing the enemy. But He not only saves us from sin, He saves us for service to our neighbors, the nations, and the next generation.

Jimmy Davis - In this "chapter" of the Story of Jesus, God has not given up on His plan to establish His Kingdom. Although Adam and Eve have rebelled, and sin has corrupted everyone and everything, God promises Abraham that He will redeem a people for Himself who will dwell in His place, live under His rule, and enjoy His blessing. We are called to live by faith in that promise even today.

Jimmy Davis - As we continue to trace the theme of God’s Kingdom through the Bible, we learn about the Perished Kingdom in Genesis 3. In their rebellion Adam and Eve have ruined their relationships with God, people, and creation. They are no longer God’s People, have been banished from God’s Place, and live in disobedience to God’s Rule and under His curse. But, there are glimmers of hope in this dark part of the Story.
