The Christmas story for the whole family!

John the Baptist is the wild-eyed, crazy-haired, camel hair wearing, locust and wild honey eating prophet of God. He is mentioned at least 89 times. There has been 400 years of prophet silence before John the Baptist showed up. His primary purpose was to come along and let everyone know - the light is on! It has been dark for a really long time and now the light is ON!

Light. Air. Water. Food.

We need these for life.

When the church today finds itself stagnant, unattractive, humdrum and shrinking; it’s time to read Acts 2:42-47 again. It’s time to get on our knees and ask what isn’t happening that should be happening.

If you are Jesus follower then you are to be lights in a dark world. This is what we’ve been talking about the past several weeks. A united church in a divided world. A serving church in a selfish world. A generous church in a stingy world. A truthful church in a confused world. A joyful church in a suffering world. Because our the word is corrupt and our faith is weak, what do you do when you feel swamped and overwhelmed by the size of the task we have - to be God’s light in this world. How do we do it?
