Tory Vasquez is the singer, songwriter and guitarist for the Baltimore-based alternative rock n’ roll outfit, Go On Red. Not to be mistaken for a certain male enhancement product on the market, Go On Red has a homed in grunge and punk thing going on that’s uniquely and authentically their own and it’s getting quite the rise out of the local music scene.
They’ve been performing around the Mid-Atlantic for the past decade and makin’ waves everywhere they go. On thing is certain, Go On Red is charting their own course and making sure everyone is takin’ notice. Join me in welcoming the man himself, Mr. Tory Vasquez, to The MOG!

Since 1995, Howi Spangler, alongside his brother Donald Spangler, and their reggae rock group, BALLYHOO!, have been crisscrossing the United States and bringing their unique brand of #MarylandBeachRock to bars, clubs and vacation towns all across the shoreline and beyond.
For nearly three decades they’ve been inspiring the locals and reminding us that rock n’ roll is a lifestyle and the importance of just having a little bit of fun in our lifetime.
They’ve reached the perfect level of success; they’re able to make the music the want on their own terms, while still selling out venues everywhere they go.
Ballyhoo! are heading out on tour with Jimmie’s Chicken Shack on September 19th, but tonight I’m lucky enough to have the voice, Mr. Howi Spangler, on the show. Join me in welcoming Howi to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast.

Whether he’s sweetenin’ up the room with his Pineapple Band or jazzin’ things up with The Cardinal Pursuit, one thing is for certain, Cooper Wade has a magnetism that can’t be ignored. He’s young singer, songwriter and guitarist with a passion for classic rock, smooth rhythms and, apparently, collective fruit. You aren’t likely to find him in the produce aisle of your local grocery store, but you can find him at just about any bar or club in Harford or the surrounding counties [belting it out]. He instantly caught my ear at the Vagabond Sandwich Company Open Mic and I had to get him on. Join me in welcoming Mike Patton’s illegitimate son, Cooper Wade.

From Child’s Play to the Charm City Devils to the Stone Horses, John Allen has been a foundational local legend in the Mid-Atlantic rock music scene for nearly 4 decades. Starting as a drummer, only to later become known and revered for his chops as a charismatic frontman with a powerhouse voice, John has proven to be an unstoppable force in rock n’ roll.
As I’m typing this introduction the Stone Horses are rockin’ with The Dead Daisies, with plans to tour the U.S. with Brother Cane in October. There’s still a lot of gasoline runnin’ through his veins and today we’re going to find out what keeps his fire burning. I’m thrilled to have him on the show. Join me in welcoming John Allen to The MOG!

Today on the show I’m sitting down with local singer-songwriter, Ryan Betts. Betts is a man who may have been born in the wrong decade or sent through a wormhole to help save rock n’ roll.
His performances are pure and soulful and his affect is genuine. I recently caught Ryan at the Sean Bolan’s open mic hosted by Btags and was immediately taken back by how smooth and effortless he delivered the blues – as if he’s already lived a few lifetimes prior to our introduction.
He’s currently working on a few original projects and has a lot of new music on the way. Join me in welcoming Ryan Betts to the rootin’ tootin’ Mouthful of Graffiti podcast.

Today on the show I’m sitting down with local axe slinger for the band Distance to Dawn, featuring former MOG artist, Lexi Raine. He's a singer-songwriter, videographer, and Hawaiian shirt aficionado, Jeff Hans.
Even as I find myself saying these things, I know there’s a lot more than meets the eye, despite his Facebook profile ‘About’ section being rather sparse with details.
Band name aside, Jeff is a hardworking artist with a pension for pop hooks and emo grooves with a lot packed in his rocket pointed toward rock n’ roll stardom. I’m happy to have this Astronaut Country Club artist onto the show. Join me in welcoming Jeff Hans to The MOG.

Business savvy entrepreneur, musician and now author, Athena Hiotis is back to discuss her new book with foreword-writer, Jordan Herndon, of the hit YouTube channel BanditGames. Over the past two years, Athena has been working tirelessly on her ‘Link to Success’ book and she’s here today to talk about its inception and the importance of being a fearless creator in a world where it’s all to easy to be a consumer.
She’s worn a lot of hats in her day, but today, she’s putting on her Phrygian cap to share her expertise in trade. Athena Hiotis is a driven inspiration, as is Jordan Herndon and I couldn’t be happier to have them onto the show. Join me in welcoming these two Hyrulean heroes to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast.

Jimmy Kells is an up and coming bluesy pop artist from the Mid-Atlantic region. He’s got a rich soulful voice, which has attracted a lot of former and established MOG artists, like Shane Burke and Josiah Orsie.
He’s a young cat with a lot of talent who is in the early years of his musical journey. If tracks like “Save Me” and “Close To Me Darling” are any indication of what the future holds, Jimmy Kells will be sitting with the stars in no time. I’m thrilled to have him on the show. Join me in welcoming Jimmy Kells to the gosh darn Mouthful of Graffiti podcast.

Today on the show I’m sitting down with local singer-songwriter, Mike Smith; I’m hellbent on giving Mike Smith his due in this episode and possibly making him blush beneath this perfectly sculpted salt and pepper beard. Though his modesty is like a warm handshake on a cold winter afternoon in the local park or akin to grandmas homecooked meatballs, his music is a storyboard that covers a lot of the past, present and possibly future of the local music scene and is an untold chronical that deserves to be heard. As someone who shined quite brightly in his day and now enjoys passing the limelight to a new generation who wishes to kiss the sun, I can say with 100% certainty that I understand what makes Mike Smith tick. From the Ripovs to his Paper Hearts, Mike Smith has done it all from punk rock to country and I couldn’t be happier to have him on the show. Join me in welcoming Mr. Smith to the gosh darn MOG!

Ashley Marie is a homespun acoustic, singer-songwriter and rock n’ roller from the Mid-Atlantic region. She’s a Virgo, which means she’s humble, industrious, practical and kind. Through my research, I was not able to find anything that would debunk these claims, thus proving astrology is as good as any other science. She’s all of those things and a talented vocalist and performer to boot. I’ve been trying to get Ashley 2.0 on the show for some time, so join me in welcoming the other Ashley Marie to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast.
