In Episode 9: "Dream Chasing" Trent Oeltjen joins the podcast, a former MLB baseball player who is now chasing a new dream and purpose! We discuss his transition from playing in front of packed stadiums to running for his mental/physical health. Trent is a perfect example of being able to pivot from achieving excellence in one realm to striving for it in another. When we played together in Sydney, I admired him and the love and passion he played the game with. This episode is for everyone searching for their purpose in life. Also, remember to strive to be the best we can in everything we do!

Today's episode is talking about raising awareness of the podcast and giving back to our community! During my rant today we will discuss upcoming guests, the logo contest, personal growth e-book, and happiness.

Below are the details of the GoFundMe Logo Contest.

I am starting the GoFundMe page for the Podcast Logo contest! Together, we’ll raise money to award the winner as well as a charity picked by YOU!

The Logo contest will be running through the 30th of June! The winner will be announced on the podcast after July 4th weekend. Over the course of 5+ weeks my goal is to raise 500 dollars. The winner of the logo contest will receive $250. The other $250 will go to a charity of YOUR choice, the listeners!

This contest will allow me to focus on recording/producing podcasts, working on content, booking new guests, and all other aspects of promoting the podcast. The current logo was a temporary fix to launch. Being able to have an artist/designer work on this logo will enable me to focus on what I am best at, TALKING (hence the nickname Mouth).

Therefore, growing our reach while giving to charity, it’s a win-win!

Jonathan is my first guest on the podcast! Naturally my interviewing skills need some serious adjustments. Even with "The Mouth" non-stop yapping Jonathan was able to elicit the wisdom he has learned over the years. One of my favorite poets and playwrights, Oscar Wilde has a famous saying “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” Jonathan has embodied this as well as anyone I have ever met! My hope is that anyone who listens to this episode will realize that following the herd is overrated. Be authentic to who you are, chase the dreams or passions that make you feel alive.
