Jesus’ primary purpose for coming as a man was a rescue mission, to save humanity; but for those who would reject him, judgment will come. Psalm 96 speaks of the judgment of the coming King; that he will judge the earth, that his judgment will be righteous and that it will be done in his faithfulness.

There are times in our lives when it feels like we are surrounded by darkness. In Psalm 88, the writer laments over the fact that he feels completely estranged from God. It is during these difficult times a deep trust in the Lord’s Providence sustains our hope.

In Psalm 82, God holds an assembly; proclaiming judgment on those present for their wicked ways and then reminds them of his expecations for how the weak should be treated. What the Lord communicates in this assembly is a reminder of his expecation for his covenant people.

The goodness of God is always present in the life of a follower of Christ. The more we focus on other people the more we will become discontent and remain blind to God’s goodness, but the more we focus on God, the more peace we will have in our lives.

Joy in the Lord's works will overflow in praise of Him which will point others to his greatest work, the cross of Jesus Christ.

God’s judgment on all of mankind is: “There is none who does good.” Which is why salvation comes by grace alone through faith alone. The saving grace which brings salvation to sinners is initiated and given by God, not the other way around. Today we look at God’s sovereign grace over the life of sinners.

How can we keep hope alive in our hearts in the midst of darkness?  In today's message we look at Psalm 42 and 43 and take from it seven things the writer does to fight off the effects of spiritual depresson and keep his hope alive while in a difficult time. 

The Lord promises to teach and instruct his people, but in order to be the one whom the Lord will do this for, we must walk before him in confession and true repentance.  Looking at Psalm 32, we examine what true repentance involves and why wisdom says the Godly should be quick to confess sins before the Lord.
