Happy Easter! In the last month our world has changed drastically. No work, no school, no going out (wink, wink), and no services at church! Many churches quickly went to a live on-line option and others did not. Maybe the idea of going to church or watching a service on-line is a little foreign to you, so how about an Easter message podcast? No one sees you walk in, no one is tracking you on-line, and most of all guys in suits will not visit you at your house! In this episode I hooked up with Naval Officer, Lieutenant Patrick Marsh. Currently he is stationed on board the USNS Mercy off the West Coast, where he is managing the daily operations of the CASREC (casualty receiving department). Patrick is an adrenaline junkie that loves adventure, being in the Navy and his family! He gives us a glimpse of life on a floating hospital along with stories of traveling to over 50 different countries. This former Navy Sailor of the Year, heals, surfs, climbs and moves the beans!

It was great to re-connect to see how they are doing and to see how they are developing some new habits in our current pandemic environment. Coronavirus, Worldwide Pandemic and shelter in place! Lately our world has gone mad and the new normal is chaos, or that is what the mainstream media wants us to believe. If you are like me, you are tired of hearing from “experts”, so I thought it would be great to hear from a few “normal” guys. So, I assembled a panel of somewhat “normal” guys to discuss how they are coping with the new normal. My buddies, Dave Catris, Rick Risden and alumni guest Ray Fredericks, talk new habits for work and family and how they are adjusting. Rick even gives out his Tinder profile if you like pasty weirdos! These guys wash their hands, stand six feet away, shelter in place and move the beans!

Episode 21 feat. Jonna & Marcus Leshock! Jonna shares some ordinary habits that got her back on track and sparked a new passion in her life. Now she spends her time helping others do the same and pouring into the life of her own family. Her husband Marcus, WGN TV’s Roller Coaster Bureau Chief is just hanging on for dear life! This power couple loves what they do, loves the people they do it with, loves God and moves the beans!

What if some of your ordinary habits were a matter of life or death? In episode 20 I have an important conversation with retired Police Officer Jim Schlicher. During his 26 year police career Jim filled many roles, but none more important than instructing and training students/adults on how to survive an “Active Killer” situation. Currently Jim travels around the country talking to law enforcement agencies about a number topics including “Active Killer” survival. Jim shares some great habits and procedures we should implement if we ever find ourselves in this kind of situation. Jim trains, instructs, serves and moves the beans!

With Spring Training baseball starting in a few days I thought it would be a great time to have Jim Donovan our baseball expert back in studio. Jim stops in to share habits and drills your son or daughter can start to use to get ready for this season. We also talk about the MLB cheating scandal, and baseball strategy from coach Abbatacola! It’s always a fun and informative conversation with Jimmy D! Jim teaches, instructs, develops and moves the beans!

This episode I’m joined by my cousin Donnie Sullivan, aka “Sully”. Donnie is a sports guru who was a perfect guest to have in studio before Super Bowl 54. He educates me in the art of Super Bowl prop bets and many more ridiculous things! Spoiler alert! The habit for this episode, don’t gamble! Donnie knows who is favored, what’s the over, the thrill victory and the agony of defeat, oh yes, and he moves the beans!

Season 2 kicks off with my good friend and former student, Colin Urbanick. Professionally he serves as Director of Discipleship and Campus Pastor at a K-12 school in South Carolina. So each day he has an opportunity to impact a new generation of students with a set of very specific habits. Personally he enjoys baking, cooking and hanging with his wife Lauryn. But that’s not all! He also does an incredible impersonation of a 16th Century peasant, and his video skills on social media are second to none! Colin disciples, teaches, bakes, searches for all white gym shoes and moves the beans!
