This week on Movement Guidance we have Jen Apter! Originally from Buffalo, New York she double majored in Dance and Mathematics from The University of Buffalo.  After first moving to LA she did the Millennium Dance Complex Certificate Program to help build connections and train in commercial styles.  She was the assistant choreographer under the direction of Galen Hooks for Mya’s “Damage” music video as well as assisting her in China and Mexico.  She has also worked with Andrew Winghart, Derek Mitchell, and Sir Charles.

She is originally from Maryland.  She has attended two of the countries commercial college dance programs, Pace University and Studio School Los Angeles. She has a B.A. in Dance Performance from Wesley Institute Sydney. She also graduated from The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Program in New York. Bell!  He is originally from Baltimore and received his BFA in Dance Performance from Towson University.  During his college experience he also trained at the Ailey School and Lines Ballet School.  He then moved to LA to pursue his career in commercial dance, where he has worked with TV and movie choreographers such as Michael Rooney, Ryan Heffington, Kitty McNamee, and more. He has worked with Hugh Jackman, can be seen on ABC's General Hospital, SciFi's Face Off, a music video with Arcade Fire's Will Butler featuring Oscar winner Emma Stone, and an AT&T commercial among others. His contemporary ballet choreography has gone viral, and has been recognized internationally on many major platforms. He was also seen dancing and acting in Hairspray Live on NBC.
