  • 39: Finding the Courage to Change Your Plan, Activism as an Influencer, and Running a Business as a Full-Time Student with Emilie Herbert

For this week’s episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing vegan food blogger, food science & nutrition master’s student, and environmental + social justice advocate Emilie Herbert.

Emilie is the blogger behind Emilie Eats, a gorgeous vegan food blog that I have been reading for over three years. In this time, Emilie has become one of my favorite bloggers as she has branched out from strictly food-related content (though she still shares plenty of amazing recipes) and has incorporated topics such as How to Balance School, Work, and a Social Life and her experience Becoming a Registered Dietitian without a Nutrition Bachelor’s Degree

In short, Emilie is amazing, and absolutely loved recording this conversation with her!

  • Candid Conversation: Instagram, digestive health, and cultivating a positive mindset around food with Eliza Dordelman
We’re trying something new this week! Instead of a typical interview-style episode, I’m sharing a candid, casual conversation with my friend Eliza Dordelman, who runs the amazing Instagram account @eatwelllivefree.
Eliza is a recent college grad who recently moved to New York City to work for Lululemon, become a holistic health coach, and chase her dreams to become an entrepreneur in the health and wellness field. She also inspires thousands of other young people to live healthier, happier, more holistic lives by sharing her experiences with anxiety, disordered eating, health conditions, and exercise addiction online.
I had so much fun chatting with her about all things Instagram, digestive health, and cultivating a positive mindset around food and exercise. I do want to preface that neither of us are professionals in the realms of nutrition or disordered eating, and any advice we give simply comes from our own experiences. If you want to learn more about any of the topics we discuss, I would absolutely suggest talking to a therapist or registered dietitian who promotes intuitive eating (which Connie and I dive into in episode 35).
