Movie Geek & Proud: A Movie Podcast

It's August and we are still visiting camps from around the movie universe. It's time to take it to a dramatic level by visiting Camp Ovation (Broadway/Drama Camp) we are going to be observing the weirdos and outcast of the 2003 film Camp. This movie just happens to be very queer centric but you'll see an oscar nominees very first big screen appearance here. A lot of great singing and music and a complex story involving a guy a girl and another guy and sexuality.

From now until the end of August, there will be a new episode every week watching and reviewing different scenarios and locations of what and where you would be doing and going for the summer. This is a collaboration with the podcast Radical Retro Rewind Podcast. Ryan the host will be enjoying summer camp at Crystal Lake with Pamela, Jason, Tommy and many more every Friday from now until August. I will be popping in on some of those reviews myself. Summer Camp and Other Tour every Wednesday and Friday for the whole summer.

This Friday is "Freddy v. Jason" on Radical Retro Rewind Podcast. Place your bets.

If you had to think about your answer, maybe the following film review can help. We kick off the last month of the tour visiting cheerleading camp and this film we follow two young men who play out this specific scenario out with hilarious outcomes. This is a summer camp job like no other. 7 girls trying to make bank. They are in it for friendship and that paper. How do you handle two birds with one stone. You start a summer camp daycare center so you can make them dollar bills and hang out with each other all summer. Back in 95 there was work ethic and these girls known as The BSC knew exactly what needed to be done. We revisit the Baby-Sitters Club from 1995. Joining me is Ryan taking a break from Crystal Lake to review this with me as this is his first watch of the film.
