A SPARK STORY is a new documentary movie on Disney+ about the creative process behind Disney’s SparkShorts movies. The documentary focuses on two Pixar Animation employees, Aphton Corbin and Louis Gonzales, as they try to complete a SparkShort in the span of six months. The movie highlights their different approaches to story, animation and directing. The two directors work to tell deeply personal stories in a way that appeals to the broadest audiences. They quickly realize it’s no easy feat, but they persevere in seeing their stories realized on the screen.

UNCHARTED is a rousing action adventure based on a video game. Nate Drake and his older brother, Sam, are obsessed with finding the lost gold allegedly hidden by explorer Ferdinand Magellan’s men 500 years ago. Sam left their Catholic orphanage years ago to search for the gold. Seasoned treasure hunter, Victor “Sully” Sullivan, recruits Nate to help him look for the gold. However, they must fend off a ruthless Spaniard and his henchmen, who will stop at nothing to get the gold.

THE WOLF AND THE LION opens with a young lady named Alma returning home because of her grandfather’s death. While walking in the forest, she discovers a small, crashed plane that was carrying a baby lion cub meant for a circus. The cub falls into her arms from a tree branch. When Alma takes it back home, a local wolf brings her baby pup to her house as well. Now, Alma feels responsible for the care of these two animals. However, it’s a bigger responsibility than she was expected, especially when she realizes she’s not the only one who wants them.

LAST LOOKS is a hardboiled mystery thriller in limited release about an off-the-grid, former police detective named Charlie Waldo. A former girlfriend, Lorena, comes to Waldo’s isolated trailer near a forest outside Los Angeles. She asks him to come to the city and help an expatriate British actor starring in a popular American TV series who’s accused of murdering his wife. Waldo refuses. However, when some thugs warn him off the case and Lorena turns up missing, Waldo travels to Hollywood to investigate the murder.

THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE is a romantic drama about a 17-year-old teenage girl with musical talent who’s still grieving the sudden death of her sister. Lennie Walker has lost her interest in music. However, she’s pulled out of her grief by a budding romance with Joe, a new male student in her high school’s music classes. Lennie’s complicated relationship with her sister’s equally devastated boyfriend, Toby, starts to affect Lennie and Joe’s new love.

MOONFALL is a science fiction thriller about a NASA official, a former astronaut and an amateur scientist who discover the moon is a hollow ark made by aliens. An evil artificial intelligence has altered the moon’s orbit to destroy the Earth and all of humanity. The military plans to nuke the moon as it enters the Earth’s atmosphere. However, the three heroes plan to take a space shuttle to the moon and use an EMP device to kill the artificial intelligence. They hope that will let the alien machinery inside the moon move the satellite back into place.

MARRY ME is a romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson. Kat is an international pop star. When she’s left at the altar, she impulsively marries a man in the audience named Charlie. They decide to spend time with each other to get to know one another, but also to help Kat’s publicity. Kat finds out Charlie doesn’t like fame and social media, and values family and the simple life. Will the two of them get along and truly commit to each other?

THE STORY OF LOVE is a romance movie airing on UPtv. An aspiring female author, Ruby Easton, goes on a writer’s retreat in Tahoe with the hope of landing a book deal. Woody, the hotel owner and manager in Tahoe, is tasked with planning outdoor activities for the writers. However, he’s skeptical about the week because he’s recently been through a breakup. HARMONY FROM THE HEART is a romance airing on the GAC Family Channel. A grad student named Violet wants a career as a music therapist.
