THE CASE FOR CHRIST is the story of how Chicago Tribune journalist Lee Strobel set out to disprove Christianity when his wife, Leslie, became a Christian and challenged Lee’s atheist beliefs. Leslie starts going to church with a Christian nurse who saved their daughter’s life at a restaurant. When Leslie tells Lee about her newfound interest in Christianity, Lee gets angry. A Christian colleague urges Lee to investigate the evidence for and against Christ’s resurrection. So, Lee does exactly that. There are some bumps along the way, however, that threaten his marriage.

ARMY OF THIEVES is a prequel, streaming on Netflix, to the zombie thriller ARMY OF THE DEAD. It follows the comic adventures of German safecracker Ludwig Dieter. A mysterious woman, Gwendolyn, recruits Dieter to join her gang of thieves to rob the world’s most complex vaults. Ludwig finds himself drawn to Gwendoline. This engenders a jealous rivalry with fellow team member Brandon Cage while they stay one step ahead of an Interpol agent determined to stop them.

ACTION PACK is an animated science fiction series on Netflix. The program features the adventures of four children who attend a superhero school, which is more of a well-funded homeschool co-op, and use their superpowers to help their community. Each episode of season one involves two 12-minute mini-episodes with a “fun fact” in between that usually revolves around explaining one of the main characters’ powers. Each mini-episode has some sort of dilemma that the four children, Treena, Clay, Watts, and Wren, must use teamwork and friendship to overcome. Most episodes wrap up in a tight bow by the end, though some will tease a larger narrative.

DIARY OF A WIMPY KID is an animated adaptation on Disney Plus of the illustrated book by Jeff Kinney. Greg Heffley is a scrawny, ambitious boy who worries about going through his first year of middle school. Thankfully, Greg has his best friend, Rowley and doesn’t have to go into the scary new year alone. However, he worries that Rowley is stuck in his childish ways and wonders if he should follow his older brother’s advice and cut ties before the school year starts. Greg writes down his adventures and mishaps in a journal as he and Rowley navigate bullies, curfews and the dreaded “cheese touch.”

In THE ROYAL TREAMENT, a sweet, sassy hairstylist in New York City sweeps a privileged prince off his feet. Justice-driven Isabella “Izzy” helps her mom and grandmother run the family beauty salon. Prince Thomas of Lavania, a pampered royal is in New York for his engagement and needs a hair stylist to manage his unruly hair. The prince appears at the salon for a haircut. Izzy arm-in-arm with her salon friends, Destiny and Lola, go to Lavania for their wedding assignment. However, they discover that things are not going to be easy. Their adventures in Lavania unite the dreams of both Izzy and Prince Thomas.

HOME TEAM is a delightful family comedy on Netflix. Sean Payton, the coach of the New Orleans Saints, is at the top of his game. His team just won the Super Bowl. However, he’s suspended in 2012 when he’s accused of paying his players to injure players on other teams. Sean decides to spend time with his son, Connor and sees that Connor’s football team needs lots of help. However, Connor isn’t pleased to see his dad, because Sean hasn’t spent much time with Connor since Sean’s divorce. Will Sean be able to coach Connor’s ragtag group of middle schoolers to become a winning team? Will Connor forgive his father?

THE ICE AGE ADVENTURES OF BUCK WILD is an animated fantasy streaming on Disney Plus. The two possum brothers from the ICE AGE movies, Crash and Eddie, set out to find a place of their own, against their sister, Ellie’s, advice. They decide to join Buck Wild in the Lost World, the wacky one-eyed weasel. Buck has established peace and harmony among the mammals and dinosaurs at the waterhole. Eventually, the brothers join Buck to help him stop a power-mad dinosaur and his velociraptor army from destroying the harmony and taking over the Lost World.

THE SONG TO MY HEART is a cute romantic comedy that follows two unlikely souls as they come together and create something beautiful. Bonnie Highstreet, a young poet in a small town, is trying to get her tea shop up and running. One day during a poetry reading, she meets Ryder Jameson, an up-and-coming young musician who can’t seem to find the right words for his melodies. Ryder needs to come up with some lyrics for the songs in his new album. So, he and Bonnie strike a deal. If Ryder is willing to help her tea shop get some publicity, she’ll help him write some song lyrics. The two end up coming through for each other, and a romance starts to blossom.

LOVE & WHERE TO FIND IT is a lighthearted romantic comedy airing on UPtv. Leena, who owns an independent coffee shop, runs into Jonah, the owner of a big-city coffee chain that moved in across the street. Through her store and excellent baking skills, Leena, with her best friend and roommate, Ava, feel like they help build a loving community. However, when Jonah’s shop moves in across the street, Leena fears for her shop, her livelihood and the community. Despite her dislike for Jonah’s business, Leena can’t help but be attracted to Jonah, who shows her nothing but kindness. Can Leena put aside her reservations and see the true Jonah?

DEATH ON THE NILE is the second movie version of an Agatha Christie mystery. Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a river steamer is interrupted when a rich heiress, Linnet Ridgeway Doyle, tells him she’s afraid of nearly everyone in her wedding party on the boat. Linnet married her best friend, Jackie’s, fiancé, a handsome man named Simon Doyle. Now, Jackie’s stalking the couple, trying to steal back Simon. When Linnet turns up dead, Jackie appears to have a water-tight alibi. So, Poirot’s suspicions fall on the members of Linnet’s wedding party. They include Linnet’s godmother and her nurse, Linnet’s finance manager, a jazz singer’s daughter whom Linnet knew in college, and a doctor who’s one of Linnet’s former suitors.
