Courage, listeners. No fear, just like Tom f—-in’ Cruise! What time is it? It’s time for another minisode. Just press play and from here on out, it’s one movie take after another from your favorite podsmiths. We didn’t choose this responsibility … that’s just how the cards were rolled out for us.
Our latest offering opens with a favorite Graham Greene clip, GoldenEye information, Roddenberry information, and other fun tidbits before your regularly scheduled programming of Movies We’ve Seen since last time (14:48), TV Talk (1:15:10), and Entertainment News/Upcoming Trailers and Stuff (1:38:50). Then it’s time for an 80s fantasy classic installment of “Not Like This, Christopher Nolan” (1:55:40), before Patrick absolutely crushes another What Year Did That Come Out Again? (2:00:34), takes a decent swing at Tomato Talk (2:01:56), and nails a quick installment of the Action Movie Trivia Card game (2:05:05). All that, plus another Hidden Gem recommendation (2:06:36) before we say goodbye until next time. Episode highlights include a discussion about superheroes, Jurassic sequels, what Star Wars and Star Trek and other franchises were and are and will become, mid-budget movies, fear-based Hollywood, strategies for answering your Letterboxd Top Four rankings, the downside of meta and self-parody, confusingly similar movie titles, soft boys, the magnificence of Jamie Lee Curtis, and a blink and you’ll miss it UPS delivery.
In possibly the longest and most epic Movies N Sh*t episode ever produced, your treasured podsmiths bond over Bond and other tidbits before your regularly scheduled programming of Movies We’ve Seen since last time (19:23), TV Talk (1:36:33), and Entertainment News/Upcoming Trailers and Stuff (1:53:52). Then it’s time for brand new installments of “Not Like This, Christopher Nolan” (2:28:45), What Year of What Year Did That Come Out Again? (2:39:31) and Tomato Talk (2:41:52) before your Hidden Gem recommendation is provided (2:43:50) and we say bye til next time. Episode highlights include a discussion about The Wizard of Oz, the Las Vegas Sphere, ever-looming AI, our lord and savior Robert Zemeckis, the Alabama Hills of California, missing the physical media era, Ryan Coogler’s mastery of multiple genres, the legacy of Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt, the strength of a good ensemble cast, containing multitudes, how Nathan Fielder is the greatest living artist, the legacy of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, Patrick’s go-to Jersey Mike’s order, the best directors all delivering upcoming summer releases all at the same time, the most bizarre ending to any zombie movie ever, and more fun listener feedback from longtime friend of the podcast, Kevin and longtime friend of Kelly, Jason. Shout-out to these two and all of our many fans.
*Please note that Patrick only misses one movie year on today’s quiz and he’s only off by a single year. Safe to say, he truly is a savant.*

Big shout-out to Executive VP, Worldwide Production for Lionsgate Television, and Goldsboro, NC native, Joel Meyer on your recent promotion. Well deserved!
Ya know, someone once told us that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. Whether you side with Dr. (not Dark Lord) Soren or rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment because it will never come again, we rather believe that it is high time for our first Movies N Sh*t TV episode commentary.
And what better television episode to begin with than Trek fan favorite, Yesterday's Enterprise. So get comfy and listen as your favorite podsmiths watch arguably the best of hundreds, maybe thousands, of Star Trek time travel stories. And the only one to feature Shooter McGavin. As a special bonus, you'll be transported back in time to receive a little history of both Kelly's and Patrick's introductions to the franchise. We promise you'll have a wonderful time (see what we did) joining us as we journey to where no man, or at least Kelly and Patrick, have gone before.
