Amy-Marie Merrell (she/her/hers) is the Executive Director of The Cupcake Girls.

Since 2006, Amy has been working with domestic violence survivors, as well as in the prevention and aftercare of domestic sex trafficking. Amy truly believes linking arms with others as they work to achieve their goals in their timing is the most beautiful form of advocacy she’s ever found, and considers her role with The Cupcake Girls her life’s work.

When she isn’t in the office, you can find Amy exploring the outdoors with her kiddo Lux, and pup Luna.

The Cupcake Girls provides confidential support to those involved in the sex industry, as well as trauma-informed outreach, advocacy, holistic resources, and referral services to provide prevention and aftercare to those affected by sex trafficking.

We provide nonjudgmental support to empower our program participants in their pursuits through respect, resources, and relationships.

Mainstream Press Blames Remote Workers For Capitalist/Investor Greed.

Florida teacher allegedly called biracial student a ‘mutt,’ used Nazi salute

The complaints included sexually inappropriate comments, with Harvey allegedly calling one girl “slutty” and telling another he’d marry her when she turned 21, the report said. Harvey called the “slutty” comment a joke that he regretted.

Harvey also told pupils that gay couples should be forbidden from marrying in church, and that women belonged at home and not the workplace, according to the paper.

He also allegedly said that girls with “thunder thighs” shouldn’t wear shorts, singling out pupils.

Black hair stylist’s dream crushed by racist neighbor

Angel Pittman’s dream was to create a mobile hair salon. So the 21-year-old stylist bought less than an acre of unrestricted land in North Carolina for $10,000 in September and purchased three school buses for $14,000 with money she had saved since she was 17.

“I’ve never seen anybody driving around doing people’s hair,” she said. “But not only did I want to get paid for doing hair, but I wanted to drive around, do a couple of homeless people’s hair and maybe go to some prisons and help incarcerated people.”

Pittman’s plan was to place the buses on the land, transform one into a living space, and turn the other two into mobile salons. She could do hair on her property, set up shop in different locations, or do house calls.

The QAnon ‘Meme Queen’ Wants Trump To Help Her Convicted Pedophile Son

For the last five years, Deborah Sullivan has been at the forefront of the QAnon movement, fighting a non-existent Democratic cabal of elites running a child sex trafficking ring. As the self-described QAnon “Meme Queen” she has produced more than 4,500 memes about the conspiracy, many of them focusing on former President Donald Trump, who she believes is secretly working to save the children.

Hey, Gang.

I spent the week before this broadcast reading the book and making my little notes.

The Book Club sessions will have pre-recorded audio of me going over each chapter. After the chapter, we'll have the studio line open for LaborHood callers to share their commentary/observations on the material.

Simultaneously, the broadcast is will be live via our Facebook page, Mr  William's LaborHood. You can also share a comment there to be quoted on the program

Reading this material must be preceded with a TRIGGER WARNING, CONTENT WARNING, PARENTAL ADVISORY AND CAUTION TAPE.

I personally find this book VERY constructive and worthwhile.

If you're comfortable, as a parent, I recommend sharing this book with teenage children across the gender spectrum.

Defund NPR is trending and we poke our heads in at the top of the rabbit hole.

WNBA player Brittney Griner has been transferred to a Russian penal colony to serve a nine-year sentence following a drug conviction after authorities found a small amount of cannabis oil in her bag. While Russian authorities have gone to great lengths to keep the locations and operations of these colonies secret, the accounts of prior inmates, including some Americans, can help shed light on the conditions Griner might be facing.
