  • SWOPcast With Phoenix Calida - And Wine Cellar 50 questions Part 2
    Hey gang.
We're still trying to make this our accelleration year and we recorded this on facebook live from a smart phone and then ripped that audio out to upload a podcast of it.
While Phoenix Calida was recording SWOPcast, William was disassembling and working on audio equipment literally right next to her.
It's a long struggle episode and we really hope to start replacing equipment sooner than later to produce the audio and video that folks already know we can do and better.

  • Seattle passes rent and mortgage relief resolution
SEATTLE -- The Seattle City Council unanimously passed a resolution calling on Governor Jay Inslee, federal legislators, and the White House administration to place a moratorium on rent and mortgage payments for homes and businesses.
The resolution was introduced by Councilmember Tammy Morales who represents District 2, South Seattle and the CID.
“I hate to say it, but we’re in for several months or longer of people being in crisis,” said Morales. “We need to make sure that our mom-and-pop business owners, our neighbors down the street, your sister who just got laid off are also getting the relief they need to weather this crisis.”
Jasper Rose started the Facebook page “Seattle Rent Strike,” after seeing an international movement of people calling for financial aid after losing their ability to earn income.

“We have been mandated to stay home, but still required to pay our bills and our rent,” said Rose. “Those that are living paycheck to paycheck don’t have any of that wiggle room. We don’t have a cushion. We don’t have that savings.”
Amy Wolf is a licensed massage therapist and runs Westwood Healing Arts.
“I cannot do massage over Zoom,” said Wolf. “Acupuncturists, chiropractors and massage therapists are still allowed to practice now but most of us are choosing to shut down because we don’t want to be responsible for hurting anyone.” Wolf said her landlord is giving her two weeks to come up with funds to pay rent. So, she’s considering a job at Safeway since the grocer is hiring.
Morales said this is a nationwide effort, with elected leaders in California and New York also calling for housing relief for renters, landlords, and homeowners.

  • CoronaVirus Lock Down In The Wine Cellar
    Hey gang.
Phoenix And Willaim have been locked down along with many others.
This affects Phoenix more.  I (William) still go to and from the factory.  Phoenix is among the immunocomprised and has to stay better protected.
We have news and we have comment.
Corona Virus is affecting Sex Workers of course.
We also have more people in high places making contact so we're that dog in the fire meme right now.
Our household did get a little extra.  We got 1 extra toilet paper, 2 extra dish soaps, 1 extra hand soap, 1 extra toothpaste and 1 extra hand sanitizer.
From there, we're going about it as is.  I've posted about why on facebook and the logic is sound.

McDonald’s is pushing for changes to a coronavirus relief bill that would require its restaurants across the US — 95% which are owned by franchisees — to give workers two weeks of paid sick leave, describing it as an effort to protect franchisees’ financials.
The fast-food giant has been lobbying the Trump administration and Congress to alter a bill that would require employers with 50 to 500 workers to provide two weeks of paid sick leave, executives said on an internal conference call on Monday. McDonald’s has pushed back against plans to use a tax credit to cover the cost, which executives said would fail to protect franchisees.
“We know that the funding mechanism and the repayment timing could cripple small-business owners,” David Tovar, McDonald’s vice president of US communications, said on the call, a recording of which was obtained by Business Insider.
Tovar said McDonald’s was “pulling out all the stops to work with” the National Franchisee Leadership Alliance, “owner-operators, our trade partners, our friends in Congress, congressional leaders, and anyone who can make a difference to fix the bill.”

  • Dealing With Corona Virus And We Catch The Second Half Of The Debate.
    Hey gang.
We can't self isolate anymore and we have to jump up and get back to it.
We're gonna be careful as Phoenix Calida is one of the people of whom could really be harmed by this virus.
We're still shooting for acceleration in our programming this year.
We made our first post signaling that we need a 3rd person.
If you know how we get down and can fit in and sit in with us, make contact.
We're ready to get this new year in Wine Cellar Media moving very aggressively.
    Thank you.
