Pete, the dark horse, strikes again with another themed month and another silent film this week. The theme of this month is Persistence in honor of women's history month, and features films with women protagonists who persist. This week the crew tackles The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928), and discusses the history of Joan of Arc, religion, and we even get our first call in from a special female guest. Stanley Kubrick month rolls on with our discussion of Barry Lyndon (1975). The crew talks old timey war strategies, duel etiquette, and 18th century fashion among other things. QQ also notes Kubrick's love of cats, and Brian announces a change in the schedule, as all talk of supplementals have been suspended. Lolita will have to wait.
